  1. I don't think you need to respond. If the debt is statute barred they can request payment yes, but that is ALL they can do. Perhaps a short note to advise you will not be entering into any further correspondance
  2. Thank you very much, I am reasonably sure this is the case but it wasn't nice
  3. Just posting to offer my support. I have been where your are and it was horrible. I was naive enough to expect my concerns would be handled in at least a neutral fashion but instead found myself witness to an astounding cover up where my 'bully' (well known as such I later learned) told whatever lies she needed to to cover up the original issue and her line manager chose to believe her ( I genuinely think it was a choice not a decision based on the facts) I now view the internal grievance procedure as a covering up facility which has to be gone through before you bring in a solicitor. ((((HUGS)))
  4. This message is hidden because MrSensible is on your ignore list. This is all I ever see of him! Unless someone reposts his bile..
  5. On the rare occasion I've spoken to them I never got beyond 'No' (I will not give you any personal information about myself) so the worst thing said to me is probably 'But... but...'
  6. The motto of the lenders seems to be 'you have to speculate to accumalate' so I don't think it will end unless the govenment decides to step in with rigorous new lending laws.
  7. I found my way here by practically the same route - they do themselves no favours with these OTT scare tactics.
  8. I had a letter from Connaught after I CCA'd them advising me my file was closed and the alleged debt now passed to 1st Credit, that was ten weeks ago, not a peep from 1st Credit (I ignored the instruction to contact them.) I don't expect it's over yet. *Shrug*
  9. Does this apply for all DCA's; I would certainly like to take this one off my worry list as a renter with no assets not even a car?
  10. Must admit yesterday I sent a letter first class rather than RD after following this thread; although the really important ones will now go SD instead of recorded. It's up to each person to decide what to do at the end of the day.
  11. I had a small recorded delivery package just dropped through my letter box whilst I was out at work today
  12. Thinking about it I have had signed for mail dropped through my letter box without my signiture too
  13. I will be making a complaint if the delivery never shows up on the website!
  14. It's just for my own peace of mind, it has no other value; if I can prove a letter has been received then it prevents any future creditor / DCA 'confusion'.
