  1. Hi Goldlady, Thanks for adding your own experiences. I personnaly think odds may need a kick start to get going with this one, so the more that joins in with their input, the better. I know I was nervous about taking on the DCA`s and Banks, but once you start you can`t see, to get enough of it, LOL. Is your Credit Card with Lloyds TSB also? How old is your card? Are you still paying these muppets? Do you have a thread I can subb to? Regards N.P
  2. Hi odds, No worries mate. I know exactly what you mean. I used to be the most honest guy around, always paying my way and helping others when I can, but as soon as you start having problems with money, for whatever reason, the Banks don`t seem to care. They just want you money and nothing else. It`s a known fact that Britain is pretty much bankrupt, but who`s fault is that. I`d say the Banks and Lenders for irresponsible lending, and then bombarding us with loans and credit cards. We can`t tell you what to do, but maybe it`s time that you fought back. The thing, we are all acting in a legal manner, it`s the Banks and DCA`s that often go over the line, with their threatening and intimidating manner. Any time you feel you need to talk and get anything off your chest, you know where to find us. Stop worrying, you`ll find lots of advice in here and also make new friends along the way. Regards N.P
  3. Hi Linz, Just subbing in on your thread as I`m interested in the Bankruptcy Order. Good look with this one. Regards N.P
  4. Hi burni, Right, I`m not expert at all, but I have my own little battles going on, but so far things are going ok for me, so I will help if I can. Hopefully someone will come along and guide you all the way from here. Could you possibly list ALL 8 Credit Cards and their amount? IE, City Card £12,300. Goldfish £2300. And also, how old each card is? There is a Telephone Harassement template on here you could use, if you require it. But you must remember from now on, do everything in writing, keep copies of both letters received and letters sent. If you answer a call, say "only in writing morons", then hang up. I`ll check back later to see if you have listed up the cards, amounts and age, then we`ll see where to go from there. I`m not sure on the mortgage, but I guess that is a priority debt, like the Council Tax, that must be paid. Regards N.P
  5. Hi odds, We`re not suggesting you use this information to get out of debt, more like to take control of it. you say you need a few months grace while you get yourself sorted out. That may be the case, but everyone knows the chances of the Bank being NICE to you is very slim. They are more likely to lash you with missed payment charges and higher interest than to try and help you. Bankruptcy is the VERY BOTTOM line, you have a long way to go before you hit rock bottom. As you have already found out, the Bank has completely blanked your communications, so you should think of other ways to tackle this. I have been with TSB (Lloyds TSB) for 22 years and they have never helped me once, lashed with charges when things went pear shaped but tried to help by offering me a £25,000 loan to get out of debt, yeah, right. You could try the CCA route and if they don`t have the correct documents, it would totally put the ball in your court, where you could keep it for a while. I`m sure others on here will have their own opions on this also. Keep fighting. Regards N.P
  6. Hi again boys and girls, Time for another UPDATE! This morning I received the following letter from my newly found friends at Fredrickson International (Very) Limited. It was actually dated 20 December 2007, so I seem to have got it straight away (Not). It reads the following (Yawn) - Dear N.P Our Ref: Argos Crap RE: Argos Card Services Account No: Some Other Crap We thank you for your recent communication regarding this account. We have referred the matter to our client and will revert to you as soon as we are in receipt of instructions. In the mean time we confirm that we have placed the account on hold. Yours faithfully, Some goon that can`t write at Fredrickson International (Very) Ltd. I guess there is nothing else to report as nothing has changed since the first letter I received from these whitless wonders. They must just like sending people letters to remind us that they are still there. Catch you all again soon. Regards N.P
  7. Hi scratchblank, I am right in saying your have 11 months (from now) left to pay the balance? Couldn`t you open a savings account and put so much of your JSA away and save up for that time? Then, maybe in the near future you might find another job and then you will only have a few hundred pounds or so to add to it. I don`t know, but it was just a thought. Regards N.P
  8. Hi barneydouble, You`ve just reminded me actually about using a different bank account. Yes, you should also setup a new account with another bank now, this will stop them taking any money you have. Have you also CCA`d them barney? Perhaps you should start your own thread on this. Regards N.P
  9. Hi burni, Could you be more specific about your debts please, without giving the game away? How much debt is there on the Credit Card alone? When was this Card taken out? If it is under £25K and under the Consumer Credit Act 1974, you could send them a CCA request to see if they have a LEGAL right to claim this debt. I`m no expert by any means, I can only go off my own experience`s but it could be worth a try. Someone more experience will be along shortly to help you out, I`m sure. Hope this helps. Regards N.P
  10. Hi again, One more thought, how old is your loan. You can CCA loans also. Remember, if they don`t have a valid CCA, then you can legally stop payments and that will put you in the driving seat with these muppets. Of course they will still bully and intimidate you but can`t make you pay without a CCA. Of course, this is if your CC and load are under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and not the new 2006 Act. Remember, everything in writing now! Regards N.P
  11. Hi odds, Welcome to the CAG. If you having financial problems with DCA`s or bully banks then your in the right place. There are lots of good people on here with the same and worse problems than you and they all chip together to help each other out. You can`t make Lloyds sit up and listen, because they are morons, it`s as simple as that. May I ask when you took the Credit Card out? I mean, how old is the card? I`m in the same position as you, but I haven`t made payments for a few months now, as they have ignored my CCA request. You should send these morons a CCA request - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general-debt/20758-creditors-dcas-letter-templates.html You need letter `N` and also include a £1 Postal Order to cover the request fee. Send it Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery if your funds stretch, or you could even take your addressed envelope into your local Lloyds TSB Branch and hand it over, make sure you get a receit for it. They have 12+2 days to fulfill your request, after that they are in Default and you can legally stop payments. If they haven`t fulfilled your request after a further 30 calendar days they have then commited a Criminal Offence and you can report them to Trading Standards, The Office Of Fair Trading and The Financial Ombudsman Service, who will charge these morons £400 for investigating your complaint. DO NOT SIGN your letter, only print your name. They may not have a signed Credit Agreement and you don`t want to give them your signature to copy and paste. Also, from now on, DO NOT SPEAK to them on the phone, everything must be in writing and keep a copy of all letters sent and received. If they turn up with a CCA, then you could scan it up on here (excluding private information) for others to check, it may be invalid. As I mentioned earlier, LLoyds are a bully bank and there are a lot of people on here with a lot of problems with them. I CCA`d them a few months ago, and they have totally blanked my request. They even used the £1 to pay towards the Credit Card. They are still demanding money from me and have started the nastly threatograms. But, they are now in Criminal ground, so every move they make against me builds my defense. I haven`t paid them for around 3-4 months now, and if they do turn up with a valid CCA, I will defend on Unlawfull charges and missold PPI. I think that`s all for now, no doubt someone with more knowledge and experience will be along soon to guide you on your way. I hope this helps, if so, please click the scales at the bottom of your window, thanks. I`ll watch with great interest. You`ve already made the best move you can, by coming on here. Good luck and keep us posted. Regards N.P
  12. Hi James31, Just thought I`d sub this one as I`m dealing with Lloyds and so far have had nothing back. Hi Paul (pt2537), how you doing matey? Another fine letter I see, where do you get them? LOL Watching with interest. Regards N.P
  13. Hi there gonnagetthemback, I am currently i dispute with Lloyds TSB Mastercard, although the morons don`t seem to have clicked onto that fact yet. I CCA`s the imbeciles a couple of months or so ago and they are still trying to take money from my Lloyds current account, still adding charges and still adding interest and still demanding payment each month, even though I stopped payments as soon as the deadlines passed. They are now in Criminal Offence, not that anyone really cares about that, but after all this they have totally ignored my CCA request and not showed up with anything. They even used the £1 CCA request fee to pay towards the Card debt. They must be some of stupidist people around, as I actually went into the bank with a letter addressed to Lloyds Collections, which had payment enclosed on the envelope which was signed for in branch and they STILL haven`t seem to have clicked. If you have CCA`d them, and the deadlines have expired you are well within your rights to cancel any payments untill they show up with the required documents. My Credit Card has charges and PPI added, so if they decide to show up with a legit CCA, I will depend on amount includes unlawfull charges and mis-sold PPI. Let us know how you get on. Regards N.P
  14. Hi SG, No problems, I`ll keep hunting around. The next payment is due on the 29th anyway, but as they haven`t shown up with my CCA I`m going to buy something nice with it, so they can feck off (so they say on here), lol. Have fun, I`ll probably catch up with you again soon, lol. Regards N.P
  15. Hi all, I hope everyone had a great Christmas, mine wasnt` too bad, twisty kids, twisty other half, just the usual really. I was just wondering, does anyone have a letter of complaint I could use please? I want to send it to Trading Standards regarding Lloyds actions on this, IE still whacking on monthly payments, interest and charges and basically because I don`t like Lloyds. Thanks in advance. Regards N.P
  16. Hi all, Just wishing everyone on CAG a great Christmas and the VERY BEST for new. A BIG THANKS to everyone who has helped me along the dark, seedy DCA road so far, you know who you are. Without people like you guys and gals on here the world would be a more desperate, intimidating and I`m sure for some, a suicidal place to live. Keep up the work people, we need you. Regards N.P
  17. Hi spiritgirl, Merry Christmas to everyone! Hope you all have a great Holiday. That letter was great sg, I will use ALL of that together with Paul`s letter, I might change the Bully Bank to knob head`s or something similar. Who do these people think they are demanding an explanation of my account conduct, I`ll do whatever the hell I like. What a bunch of muppets! Most of it is made up of interest and PPI anyway, with a few charges thrown in. The only thing I`ll explain to these idiots is the Consumer Credit Act 1974. I`ll print the letter and post it out on Thursday, there`s no point yet. Right, have a nice day tomorrow all, I hope you get what you want. Regards N.P
  18. Hi mogul, Yep, your right, £36 does seem a pretty sad figure to argue over, but I understand the arguement your trying to put across. I have had my own liitle battle with Morecrap and now have another bunch of morons do deal, so the fight goes on. I don`t really know what you should be doing with this, but hopefully someone will be along soon to help you out. You could `BUMP` your thread every so often if there in no responses. This will put your thread back on top of the list and in peoples view. I hope you get help soon. Regards N.P
  19. Hi Paul, Thanks for the letter matey. I`ll edit accordingly and paste a copy up for you to check. I`ve had a quick read through it and it certainly looks interesting. Any idea`s of how to challenge them on the PPI which is on this card? It first started off at around £5 a month, now it`s upto around £45 a month. Should I cancel it or just wait and see what documents they show up with, to see which way to go? There`s also charges on this account. I`m also expecting them to call in my overdraft on my current account anytime, this also has some charges applied. Thanks again for the help, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Regards N.P
  20. Hi again, Update! A couple of day ago I received the following letter from Lloyds Collections: Dear N.P Despite our previous letter the following account is still in arrears and arrangement has been made. It would appear that this account is currently a low priority to you. Account Number: Mine Arrears: £451.16 If payment has not been made you must ensure it is made immediately AND that you contact us on the above telephone number, at which time we would expect an explanation of your account conduct to date, so that we may decide on the appropriate collection and recovery action. We are open for telephone contact between 8am and 9pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 5pm on Saturday. Calls may be recorded and/or monitored in order to ensure security for our customers and staff and to help maintain service quality. Please be assured that the consequences of not giving this matter the most urgent attention could be severe and may include addiitional charges, a negative affect on your credit rating and the possibility of legal action. Yours sincerely squiggle Collections Centre. Now, considering these ball bags have completely blanked my CCA request, still putting charges and interest on the account, they seem to be getting nasty now. Has anyone else had anything like this? I like that part that reads they expect an explanation of my conduct and also the recording of calls to ensure security and maintain service quality. How the hell does it ensure security if they record everything? Has anyone any idea`s for a suitable response? I look forward to hearing from you on this. Regards N.P
  21. Hi again, It looks your like in front with this one, so far. However, if they do produce an agreement or what they call an agreement, you should scan it and paste it up on here for the caggers to check out. Do not make any more contact with them until someone in the know gives you the nod. If they do produce a valid agreement you should possibly SAR them for a list of statements to see if any charges have been applied to this account, then possibly head down that road. Anyone have any more on this? Regards N.P
  22. Hi there ldyexpert, Just subbing with great interest as I`m expecting some grief from Lloyds TSB some time soon. Keep up the scrap, your in good hands on here and the people on here will be honest with you, unlike Banks and DCA`s. We have all been there and some, including myself are still fighting. Good luck with this one. Regards N.P
  23. Hi again, £50 cup of coffee? I like that, heh heh. You have been to Starbucks then? I was there earlier, around 7pm, I had a Eggnog Latte. If I`d have taken the other half and toddler then it would have come to around £50 I think. I bought it using the money I`m not paying Argos, as well as having driving lessons. I might as well put it to some use. I guess Argos have already had more than enough from me in extortionate interest. Anyway, back to business. It`s been all quiet today, no more calls from Freds. Perhaps they HAVE finally read my letter, or maybe they can`t read at all. Who know`s? Right, the Hitcher is back on so back to the TV, catch everyone later. Thanks for the posts. Regards N.P
  24. Hi pecky1, Good to here from you again. Yeah, if they ring on Christmas day I`ll tell them exactly where to go, no holes barred, so they say. Does anyone know what this bunch of smack heads are like? Are they just like the usual bunch of annoying turd burglars? Are these DCA`s allowed to pass a disputed account around to one another and hassle people without even showing up with an application form, let alone a CCA? I think a letter of complaint to Trading Standards regarding Argos`s behaviour is in order. Anyone have any idea`s on this? Regards N.P
  25. Hi Befnal, I too had a very similar experience with O2, quite simply, they are ****E! I found my bills were often more than what they should have been, and every time I rang and queried them, they just said it was right because that was what the system said. Eventually I decided to end my contract as I was actually outside of the 12 months at the time, so I rang them up and explained I was changing to another supplier because their service was overrated, overpriced and basically crap. I received a PAC code to transfer my number to Virgin, and was told I would receive my final bill in 30 days times after the months notice, then I would need to pay the bill the following month, which would include any calls I made, at the time I was paying line rental plus any calls or texts I made. Anyway, after I paid the final bill, I received another bill a month later, which of course I totally blanked. Now, I heard nothing more for around 3-4 months then I received another bill for another months service. The thing is, I actually received a total of 4 becase I also had an account for my girlfriend at the time. This was around 3-4, possibly 5 years ago, and I have since noticed a Default from o2 applied to my Credit Reference, but I have never heard anything else from them, except a could of months later, like you a received a Line Terminated Letter. What a bunch of muppets, considering I had been using my number with Virgin for a couple of months at least. I don`t really know what else you can do, because as I say, I have not heard anything since. I wouldn`t be surprised if I don`t start hearing from some CDA`s soon as the debt, if there is any will be coming to 6 years soon and will be statued barred. Anyway, just thought I`d let you know of my experience with the might O2. Regards and best wishes for Christmas. N.P
