Hi all, just started out with CCA'S to 8 different creditors in the last month. 3 have defaulted and I am on the 30 day countdown. 5 were sent 6/6/07, two of which are MBNA. I have received a reply for one account informing me that they have "passed my letter to the appropriate business area to ensure that I receive a full response within the next 5 buisiness days" . From reading these threads I think 5 days is a tad optomistic!!! I wrongly timed my cancellation of the direct debit for the other account. They have sent a letter regarding this but no reference to the CCA request. Maybe that will arrive tomorrow lol.

I got into financial difficulties about 10 years ago, asked them to stop interest and accept reduced monthly payments, but they were the only creditor that refused to do so. The amount I have paid monthly for years is huge, but the balance has reduced very little because of their charges and interest rates. I very much doubt they will be able to provide an agreement, but should they do so I will go for a SAR. Actually, if I find out they have no agreement I may reclaim charges anyway. Or is that not adviseable:confused:

Yes.... I think that you should go for a SAR as well.... If you think that your charges (plus interest) will clear the balance of the card, then I would say that would be the easier way to deal with the debt.

I won against MBNA, Nat West , Barclays, Barclaycard and PPI payments from Barclaycard

Abbey National still to go.... what will I do with my spare time?

Thanks for that Standingupformyself. I do intend to SAR them as I am sure the charges will either clear the debt or very nearly so. I have still only received a reply to one of my CCA requests.

At the same time I also sent two CCA requests to GE Money, one for a BHS card and one for an old Etam card. Today I received one reply thanking me for my enquiry about transactions and charges levied on my account. They want me to notify them if I still require this information and if so send them a £10.00 cheque. Not sure if I should just ignore this or reply saying it was a CCA request:???:.

Yes Wednesday, I think that would be a good idea. Although I have spent a good while reading these forums and have an idea about the delaying tatics that creditors use, I feel the need to back up my own thoughts on how to proceed by asking for advice on here. So many thanks for replying.:)

Terms and Conditions from 2006 and a statement of account. That's one down:grin:
