Hello all,

Barclays have put in a defence against my court claim and I am told this will now go to court.

What do i need to do in preparation for court. Im afraid if I go in un-prepared I will simply lose regardless if I have a valid claim (which I have).

In their defence they have said I did not provide them with the dates and particulars of each charge, but i did with 2 of my letters.

I have also heard that Barclays normally crumble at the last minute and offer to settle. Is this the case? and if so when? Will I still need to submit the papers which I intend to rely on in court 14 days before the court date? Is this the point at which they back down? I have also lost my bank statements - will these be needed in court?

I would be grateful of any help you can provide.

Many Thanks

Seejai in Leicester.

Hi there!

Firstly, don't panic. To be expected!

A great understanding of what to expect is the link here.

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/31460-example-step-step-instructions.html

step 7 goes through if they defend and just gives you an overview of what to expect.

Resend your copy of spreadsheets etc and enclose a letter stating that these are copies as you had supplied them previously. This will cover you!

As for Barcleys - it is nerves of steel that are needed! So use the site and chat and forum for the support you need! Do you have a thread of your own? Means that everyone can give you help and is easier for us all to watch your progress and see your win at the end.

Once you have clicked above and started your own link you will find you will have lots of encouragement!

Court bundles - a great link is here..

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/33060-basic-court-bundle.html

A court bundles is anything you can provide that backs up your claim!! So all your letters and correspondence and statements and points of reference or law you can use to back up your claim and the right for your fees back! there is lots out there to help you in information - just look around the site!

Good luck! look me up in chat if you get stuck.

got to say you do seem to be a little complacent with this claim, you havent read the FAQ's, youve lost your statements [which are supposed to be part of your court bundle.

I suggest you use what time is left to seriously swat up on what the process is and what COULD happen

YOU COULD END UP IN COURT!
