GAP Insurers will check market value and will also see from Insurers paperwork that you are being penalised by 20% due to underwriting issues.

I very much doubt that they will fund what the Insurers are deducting.

We could do with some help from you.

When the offer was only £1000 less than you paid, I thought you may have only recently purchased the car, the Ombudsman requires the Insurer to pay the purchase price if you purchased the car "Recently" they purposely don't define "recently" but it would generally be a monthish.

Bear in mind some GAP providers will only pay the difference in value between their (Gap Insurer) valuation eg £22k and the invoice / replacement cost (Depending what type of cover you have), some will pay the difference between your vehicle Insurers value and the invoice / replacement. Check your policy for how your Insurer acts.

I don't believe your Gap Insurer will cover the difference between the value you receive after the deduction for the non disclosure.

Do not be afraid to make an Official Complaint / Ombudsman, both are free to use and the Ombudsman tends to be biased towards the consumer and also looks at what is fair.

Unfortunately, the Ombudsman tends to work at a similar speed as continental drift
