I received a letter today from capital one refusing my ppi claim. They enclosed a copy of the short postal application form which shows a ticked ppi box which I must have done.

Now here is my problem the copy of the short postal application form was for a platinum credit card and I listed another card that I wanted to do a balance transfer of £3000

Capital one sent me a basic visa credit card with a credit limit of £200, I don,t recall signing another agreement for this basic card.

Can I dispute their refusal of my ppi claim on the basis when I applied I was applying for a platinum card with a balance transfer. I would not have taken ppi on a basic card with a limit of £200.

Any advise would be appreciated

Hi Ims21,

It is my handwriting and the box it ticked but it is a very dark photocopy and I honestly can't tell if it is a preticked box.

I think if I did tick the box it was because I was going for a balance transfer 10 years ago.
