hi

i had a loan with marks and Spencer a few years back, i dont know any details of the loan is there any way of getting these details?

is the correct way to start reclaiming ppi to send a sar letter first, then a letter of complaint of miss selling of ppi?

If you have no information then the best thing is to send a SAR. Make sure you put a line in to the effect that the SAR response should include copies of any and all agreements you have held with them.

 

From the information that comes back it should be possible to prepare a schedule of claim (Spreadsheet). In readiness, have a read of No.1 in my signature.

 

You will also need a fos consumer questionnaire which you can download from the fos website.

 

When you have completed the questionnaire and schedule of claim you send a copy of both to the lender together with a brief covering letter requiring refund.

wow, thanks for the reply/info lots to read,

 

im just wondering if it possible i may have been miss sold ppi years ago on mortgages ive had in the past like 10 years ago is there a max time limit for a claim?

Hi

 

No time limit on PPI claims.

 

If you have your agreements that would be good but if not a SAR is the place to start but you may find that some of the old paperwork has been destroyed by the bank if they are a long time ago.
