I have had one hearing but adjourned because it looks like they served "borderline" re time limits and issue of whether they have followed protocol. judge refused to recuse himself. barrister requested but denied. the judge then ironically refused to give directions for housing file to be provided. they have ignored my requests even though I paid for this last year - judge said it is not to be a fishing expedition which is absurd but shows he is bias as it is legally wrong to deny me this.in interim I no longer trust the firm of solicitors. will not expand on it but they did not do what they said they woudl or what the barrister said they would. so now on my own. adjourned to just before xmas. i have as yet not submitted a defence etc. solicitor had to comply with directions and haven't. however, I do not wish to attend this court again as the judge is Bias, and has proven it already. the court refuse to provide me with information that i am entitled to and there is no way, that any application that I make will be processed anyway due to past experience, hence no fair hearing can take place at this court. I can not pay the arrears and my HB stopped as my ESA stopped. I told them to make a new assessment on nil claim. no response. they also did not inform me that my HB had stopped and found out at court only. I offered to downsize to pay off my arrears but although acknowledge by dept. housing have not obviously contaced me re this offer. much more I can not do. I have a 16 yr old son. a stay in execution may not help as I can not offer to make payments. I offered £2 and they refused. also, the council deliberately ensured that I could not get information for a charity board meeting in Feb where the charity were considering loaning me the money interest free but the council knew this and they refused to give me the right info. at court, the solicitor for council said I had done nothing about my arrears. this is not true and is a false statement. what do you all advice please.;...

Hi

Welcome to The Consumer Action Group.

I am just letting you know that as you haven't had any replies to your post yet, it might be better if you post your message again in an appropriate sub-forum. You will get lots of help there.

Also take some time to read around the forum and get used to the layout. It is a big forum and takes a lot of getting used to.

Once you start to find your way, you will soon realise that it is fairly easy to get round and to get the help you need.

It can be bit confusing at first.

Please be advised that my time will be limited for the next few weeks. Thanks for your understanding.
