Having waited six long years for a default to fall off my credit report, and having recently fought off Rockwell's attempt to collect a statue barred debt :D I applied for a normal current account with the Co-op.

After being credit checked in the branch, I was accepted not only for a current account, but was also offered a credit card.

The next day I called them to see what would happen to my existing account, when I was told my application had been cancelled and a letter was on its' way. I finally received it yesterday and it said the refusal was due to adverse information held on Experian. I immediately requested a copy of my credit report from credit expert and checked my file at all the addresses I have lived at over the last five years. There is nothing bad on the report at all - no defaults, my payment history shows satisfactory on all of my credit accounts.

I am going to send Co-op a copy of my report to prove, as per Experian, I have a 'good' credit history. Will this force them to tell me what they can see at their end on my credit report?
