Just got back from holiday and found out I went over my planned overdraft limit. Lloyds are going to charge my £67 this month and I have worked out I will be charged £215 next month. Was only over my planned overdraft by £115.

 

First time this has ever happened - had an account with Lloyds for nearly 27 years.

 

As soon as I got back from holiday I transferred money into the account to bring it back into the planned overdraft.

 

Phoned Lloyds to explain that I had just returned from holiday and had no internet access for 2.5 weeks. They said there was nothing they could do as I was more than £25 over my planned overdraft. I would need to write a letter explaining the situation and they would make a decision as to what if anything could be done.

 

Any advice????

Unfortunately they are unlikely to refund without commencing legal proceedings.

 

However there is a test case going on at present (presently on appeal to the House of Lords) so you claim will be stayed pending resolution of that.

 

Write this letter:
