Hi all,

I went into lloyds last week, and the cashier said 'did you know you're overdrawn?' I replied no, 'oh, well I can put a £100 overdraft on and that will cover EVERYTHING' she said, so I let them, as ya do!

Later in the week, went into another branch to draw money out to pay for my hol, and the cashier advised me it wouldnt let her, as I had £180 in charges due out.

As the cashier advised me that the overdraft would cover everything, does anyone think I have a case for mis-selling there products(overdraft)- I am going to reclaim from my Lloyds account next anyway but I cant afford to lose all that now- so I figured a complaint about this may get it sorted?

thanks all.

Well you can certainly let them know that they offered you an overdraft that wouldn't cover the whole amount coming out.

They should of informed you of the charges a month before, and the cashier should of re-reminded you, as they are supposed to help not lead you down the garden path into hell (actually that is their job).
