  1. i am of a different opinion on this one firstly no-one on this site will be surprised that the banks will let £35 go this far. after all, they are not getting punished for all the unlawful activities that they carry out, they just have to give the money back, and thats hardly likely to hurt them. secondly as olliebear cannot lose, its another badge of honour - i mean, i love reading peoples sigs which say 'me vs evil greedy bank XX WON XXX' the longer the sig the better
  2. boo hoo i have just sent a complaint off about shabbey - i bet i get a 'get lost' answer back an all.
  3. ...reverse a transaction? for instance, lets say you sell an ipod on ebay for £150. you recieve the money to your paypal account and send the item with special delivery. then paypal removes the £150 because the buyer used a stolen credit card. you are then £150 out of pocket, and minus the ipod. whats more, if you have already transferred the money into your bank account, paypal will still reverse the transaction, leaving your paypal account in the red, which eventually they will pass onto a DCA. surely the problem is the fact that paypal allow people to use stolen credit cards to pay for stuff - where are the security checks? advice please.
  4. send it to head office BrightHouse, Chiltern House, Marsack Street, Caversham, Reading RG4 5AP

  9. all charges are unlawful until the banks/credit card companies stand up in court and defend them so yes, claim the lot back i would wish you luck but you dont need it up the reds!!
  10. my partner has a lloydstsb credit card but unlawful charges have sent her overdrawn. she has refused to pay these charges, so they have taken paymant from her lloydstsb bank account. are they allowed to do this?
  11. 20 calls a day? i would take legal advice on that one
  12. the charges you are disputing, please elaborate
  13. still sue paypal. you can prove that you have returned the item, a person would do this usually in order to get a refund. you have proof that the item has been returned, also you have proof that paypal are trying to wash their hands of the matter. have they even tried to help you? no - not good enough paypal only respond to litigation. let them explain themselves in court.
  14. right, get tough. paypal only care about paypal. get a jeweller to examine the item - i assume that their conclusion (in writing of course) will confirm your suspicions. this means that you have an independant report. send a copy of the report to paypal, explaining that you are prepared to sue them for the safe return of the money that you have paid for this inferior item. i am willing to bet that they will tell you to get stuffed. sue them. send every letter with recorded delivery, and retain copies for yourself, making sure that you write dates of postage in a diary or something. i would wish you good luck but you dont really need it if you can get the jewellers report. hardcore will never die.
  15. paypal dont judge quality??? the items are not as described, start a claim thru paypal and CLEARLY state that the items are not as described in the sale. contact ebay with the same information
