  4. Hi I know how you feel they did the same to me even phoning me on a sunday eve. The worst thing was that even when I told them I had been accepted for a consolidation loan and gave them a date for whrn the money would go into my account they sent me a default notice five days prior to that date so i had to raid another account and put money into LTSB account and then got charges from the new account for doing this. I'm afraid they are the most unsympathetic barstewards ever. Still the laugh will be on them when they pay out my claim for just over 6k! Just be strong you will win.
  5. Hi The banking code flyer on Debt and How Your Bank Can help states 'with your help and co-operation, develop a plan with you for clearing your debts in a way you can afford. Such a plan may range from an informal arrangement to restructuring your debts so you can repay it over an extended period.They will give you a written confirmationof what is agreed.' So contact them and state that the banking code states that everything you have agreed to must be put in writing to you.
  6. HI I would write to the collections department and explain what you think you were told and ask them to clarify it in writing within 7 days. I know when I had dealings with them they kapt telling me they could only make repayment agreements over the phone (if only I had known then what i know now!) which meant that I had no proof of anything that had been agreed. I'm sure the banking code states something about this. I will look and get back to you. Also I think you could go ahead and send off your SARS and state the process to reclaim the charges. If you do this then you can write to them and say the account is in dispute and they cannot do anything about demanding the repayment of the overdraft untill the dispute is resolved. This would be good if the overdraft is made up of unlawful charges. Will get back to you in a bit.
  7. HI I filed on 28thSept was deemed served on 2nd October they aknowleged on 13th Oct and have until 30th Oct to file defence. Not heard from them yet. So yes they wait until last moment! Good luck

  10. Hi Yes delete the letter to suit your case. Also if you are using email don't forget to print a copy off for your records incase you need to show the court. Good luck

    Hi Did you use the link to vampires chamber. They are spreadsheets on google. use the link and if you dont have an account for google just register it does'nt cost anything and then you get to vampires chamber with a list of spreadsheets. They are very easy to use and you can save them. Vampire is usually on line and you can chat to her if you need help. Hope this helps

  15. Hi Well the postman bought me 3 letters from Shabbey this morning. So I was thinking great they're improving and I can get on with this now. Well I eagerly opened them only to find 1 statement in each envelope! At this rate it's going to take them 6 years to send the lot!

  17. Hi I dont have any paperwork left regarding my abbey account so really I do need the statements. Still I was hoping now their micro argument could not be used anymore they would comply quicker. I'm not in a rush as I'm dealing with LTSB and smile at the mo.
  18. hi had a letter from pam speed at shabbey today. says duplicate statements covering the last 14mths will be sent in next 5-7 days. Then it says 'Any previous transactions have been archived onto microfiche and it is not possible to provide you with a computer printout of this information. However, we have made arrangements to send you a list of archived transactions between 2000 and 2005, under seperate cover.' Is it me or don't their dates add up. 14mths would be back to july 2005 yet in second part they claim they are held on micro up till 2005 duh! Any way wait to see what i get.

    hi had a letter from smile today reply to LBA. Says sorry not able to respond to complaint yet will do so as poss or let me know if there is going to be further delays. Well I should now file claim but got no money at the moment. Will have to wait til 31st-payday.
  20. Hi all Well I've got so fed up with crap1 and their persistant phone calls that today I sent their legal department the template letter re-phone harassment. I also requested a set of statements from customer services. Let battle commence!
  21. I work at our local college and today i had a chat with the student Support Officer. She is greatly concerned that students are not money savy and is trying to set up some sort of way to help them learn how to manage their finances. I told her about this site but also the new article that Martin Lewis has just written so she is going to look into it and see what she can use. I also talk to students when I hear them getting excited about their bank raising their overdraft limit or offering them a second account!!!!
  22. Hi I told Cap 1 about three weeks ago to stop calling me and to communicate through letter. Since then I've been getting the same number on my mobile and phone calls on landline that hang up when you answer. I think theres a template letter for phone harrassment I was thinking of sending that to them.
