  1. ok all thought i would ask for some help after the successes of my PPI fight this is a bit different went to work today and was called into the wages office and informed that a Direct Earnings Attachment for £1500 or so had been received for a overpayment of some benefits going back some time i started to panic and then the wages clerk noticed the address was not mine but the DOB and name and national insurance number was correct to cut to the chase i had never lived at that address and have never had any coraspondance or phone calls about this the wages clerk rang the DWP explaining the facts and was told it was a very old debt that had to be repaid so just to put things on hold i asked my wages clerk to ask how old and they would not say then said i should ring them so thats the question i will ring them and what should i say and what not thanks in advance

  7. Hi all i sent a failure to reply and a couple of days later the sar was received with the requested info i am studying it but it’s not as straight forward as the last one firstly it’s all mixed up i have sorted it into the credit card and what i thought was 2 or 3 loans Firstly the credit card that seems straight forward i went thru all the statements and i have now used the calculator to work out the repayment of ppi the credit limit was £500 (paid off and cancelled in 2005)and i now know i am owed £150 according to the calculator i know it’s only smallbut after all it’s my money should i send the claim or wait till i have sorted out the loans this may take a little longer i only have the agreements and the totals so maybe some help here again with the maths!! i did notice quite a lot of late payment and overlimit charges (£25.00 each every time )any chance i can get them back ?? must total well over £300 by the time i paid it of (sad i know but this was a bad time for me i seem to remember ) just a quick one i also received totally blank statements (what a waste of paper)from when i closed the account 2005 to 2007 can anyone explain this ok that’s it for now and i look forward to winning again !!!thanks in advance for your help

  14. thanks ims21 for that just about made it more simple i still find working with the spreadsheet a bit of a task but i think i have finaly got it right i have put in the 45 payments and then the final payment as previous post is the total from the spreadsheet my claim ? am i ready to make a claim is there some other claim letters i could have a read of from other members so i can compose my own or should i stick to the template letters (what should i be searching for) to read on the forum i noted that abbey was charging me 12.8% yet the spreadsheet shows 8% is this correct much appreciated thanks
  15. hi ims21 thanks for the reply and the help but i think that there's some sort of mixup all the figures you are asking for are on the copy of my original loan agreement that santander sent last thursday and i have the original settlement letter with the final payments and the total of the rebate if i list all the figures could santander workout it's me using the website ?
  16. hi all i am finding it hard to understand the spreadsheet the note's in it are not very clear i have been at it now for most of the afternoon and i am more confused now than ever do i have to manualy put every payment i made in ppi over the full loan term 60 mounths that means i will have to input 60 payments all the same apart from the date !!!! is this correct or am i realy thick as i have said in previous posts i paid it of early and got a rebate from them in 2005 what should i do about that how do i calculate this
  17. hi sorry to be a pain but is there a guid on filling in the spreadsheet it don't seem to do enything i have never used a spreadsheet in my life so i don't know enything about them thanks

  19. hi all thanks for the help i have now sent the failed sar letter with a copy of the original sar but i am thinking this is going to be a longer road than first thought!! what will happen now ? i have given them another 14 days rather than go to court but if i have to what's the cost ? and will santander have to give me the infomation i require or is there a possibility i could loose and not recive any info from santander and be back to square one maybe it would have been better to pay someone only time will tell now thanks again
  20. hi it's been 43 days since i sent the sar and postal order to santander and i have had no reply or even a letter confirming that they have recived it what's the next step i know it was signed for on the 6 august at 9.15am should i give them a ring or is there a letter to send again thanks in advance
  21. ok all i have posted the sar to santander at the weekend including the £10 postal order i have everything crossed at the mo i have now got citybank and cityfinancial in my sights would i have to send 2 sars one for each or are they the same group would i be able to sar just the group or is it better to go the individual root and where should i post them to it may be sometime between posts due to work commitments so if i don't get straight back you know why
  22. thanks for that ims21 a sar it is then just a quick one what account \ref number do i put in he sar is it my own account number or the account number of the loan or both ? and can you point me to where i might find the correct address for santander just to save posting it to the wrong one
  23. Ok all thank’s for the help ims21 still trying to get my head round this I’m still looking back and I’ve just found all my bank statements going back to 2001 with the abby only a couple missing i found a old suitcase in the workshop over the weekend i had forgot about the statements do contain all my payments from the beginning of the abby loan to the final settlement figure but i cannot see the total borrowed for some reason it looks like i missed 2 payments near the settlement date tho would it be possible for someone to help me to work out the loan and ppi from the figures i have is there a mathematical wizard that can understand this ? co’s I’m at a loss I don’t think sending a sar would give me any more info after reading other peoples dealings with abby and it looks like they are sticking to the 6 year cut of point! In my opinion that is I can give dates and the exact amount paid in full over the full loan period with the settlement figures and the ppi and interest rebate As usual thanks in advance
  24. I am at a standstill with a loan with ppi from abby and it goes back 9 years i have looked at my bank statements going right back to march 2003 but am unable to confirm the amount borrowed and when it started i do have all the payments for the loan up to the settlement letter that was sent to me when i re financed and paid it off in full in 2005 Am i right to assume that abby would not be able to send me my details of this loan even if i send a sar due to the timescale? and the consolidated loan started on 2005 i do have the agrement for this tho so it should be ok i hope i.m still paying it now Is it worth pursuing the abby loan or is it a lost cause because i cannot remember the total borrowed or when it started i am still compiling a list of others (quite a large list now)but it is taking quit some time i have been at it after work in my spare time now i have found in the workshop my bank staments it makes for quit unnerving reading and i can see i have been well and truley riped off thanks in advance
