  1. If your contractual hours are 9 to 5:30 then I can not see how they can touch you. Have you had any warning prior to this? What evidence do they say they have to back up disciplinary. Was tracker faulty at time in question.
  2. By your own admission you didn't check the paper work so whilst HMRC made a mistake you are not absolved of sin because you didn't do what could be reasonably expected of you. If you stopped using Sky for instance and they didn't cancel the DD would you expect your money back? I would set up the repayment and await the outcome of the Adjudication. There is no admission of guilt in this.
  3. Just ring debt man company it's what I did. You opened lye in error and as a concerned citizen didn't wish to be mixed up in it. Merry xmas
  4. Not read all your post but have a look here http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/taxcreditsbudget/index.htm its a link but sodding thing wont let me post
  5. Hi No idea where this goes and one of my main aims with this post is to try and see if there is enough of a ground swell out there about Housing associations (HA) and service charges. Basically, I own a house on an estate which is freehold and I have to pay service charges as laid out in the covenant. I was aware of this at purchase and was O.K with it. However, since purchase in the past two years the HA has put up the charges by 25% in the last two consecutive years and I now discover that unlike leaseholders I have absolutely no rights in law (or at least to my basic knowledge and a solicitor) to challenge the increase in fee. Basically, there is a small group of us in the north west of england. Is there anyone else in this situation? I am interested in trying to gather people from all over the country in this situation and then use weight of numbers to put pressure on the government to legislate this area. Furthermore, I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has fought any sort of battle with a housing association and won. If you won, how did you win? Was it a legal battle if so please let me have the details. Many thanks in advance Catzeyes79
  6. andydd Thanks for the reply. I am uncertain if your advice and the LVT can help me and my fellow householders as we own our properties on a housing estate and the service charge comes from a covenant. One other member of our group has taken legal advice and we are informed we have no legal rights!! In your case is it a house? Do you own your property or do you rent? Is it freehold or are you leasehold? Many many thanks for your help. I can see this being a long battle. Catzeyes
  7. That is if it is your first and only minor offence. If you persistently do it watch out!
  8. Prison is a definite no and a penalty should be small if any at all.
  9. Forgot to say just incase any busy bodies read this, these views are my own and do not reflect those of my employer or anyone else !
  10. I work for tax credits & I be surprised if this level of detail is known yet. I'm not saying you or your source is wrong but we don't even know what is happening yet or how it will work. Harv has only just released the new thresholds for next years tax credits so as UC is a way off I thinks probably rumour.
  11. Captainess PCBM If you ever got any resolution from your HA please contact me. I am in the same boat and it stinks.
