  1. My hospital put all our records on computer, they then decided to change the appt booking system to online. In my case my appt for opthamology was put down as urgent as I have a known condition kerataconus that keeps deteriating and came to a head where recently when out fell down stairs as simply could not see them, my eyesite just decided as if to switch off and when can see due to condition and lights like walking through pea soup. I have epilepsy as well which can mess with vision so suspected it was that, however after boots appt telling me my conditon had deteriated within a matter of weeks from last prescription, they refered me. Okay so I get letter from doctors telling me to make appt, I must admit for a couple of weeks i put it off due to another ongoing issue. I got reminder from hospital and the ref refered in surgery letter was not there, so I rang my surgery who said fine and made the appt for me online as were able to link to hospital, so fine sorted and my appt was for end dec as earliest they have. Okay. A few days later get letter from hospital saying the surgery has not given them enough info so they have cancelled it !!!!!!!! I rang them and spoke to outpatients admin manager and said suprised they did not contact me or liase with doctors if something was missing, but why so promptly cancel the appt, told that is what they do. If they cannot open the file from the surgery they cancel. Told me they coudl make another appt for end jan. Told them I feel that is not sattisfactory and want my old appt back at least coudl they check if that day was still available. Told online earliest they can book is end jan. So I politely insist they get me an earlier appt as not in my interest when refered as urgent for them to cancel on basis of computer issue as in file woudl not open as surely they can contact gp to get it sorted without cancelling my appt especially as over a month away. Told no. So I point out I am recording the call for aide de memoir and must admit to being confused. You see prior a letter would be sent from hospital, they woudl ahve had referal in post, then you would ring the hospital, make appt and bobs your uncle sorted. Now because they have spent millions putting records on computer and changed system then they at slightest problem seem to cancel the appt to the detrimant of patient rather than sort the issue. She agreed it is frustrating for me and I said why change to system that is inconvinient for patient when s omething goes wrong as in blip or minor error and told that is how we do it now, reminded me of little britain and computer says not sketch. So I politely said I appreciate it is not your fault, but would appreciate you finding an appt earlier for me as have alraedy been told that date is now fully booked. She comes back with appt for same day end dec wuppee, but two hours earlier than the prior appt so it is obvious the appts were not all full. I say thank you and then she says if we cannot open the new referal from doctor which apparantly was sent yesterday due to them realising hospital had cancelled, we will cancel it again. So I said to her do not cancel my appt again, I have recorded the call adn will go to the papers if you do. If there is any problem ring me and I will lisase with my doctors, but dont cancel it. So because of their new system when a consultant reviews a referal to apparantly decided if it is classed as urgent as mine was, which they then can apparantly get you a quicker appt, if they cannot open the file rather than ring or look into it or at least check wether you are already under them for opthamology which woudl easily in my case let them know what I was in for, then they cancel it !!!!!!!!!! So rather than urgent appt you can then be fobbed of to end of jan. Little britain has took over my hospital appt admin:-x Okay so rant over, but has anyone else had this experience? It dumfounds me how their new system can make a simple process worse xx
  2. Tried to pm you vjohn but box full. You are probably aware but just in case not thought to let you know the MCG legal page is getting updated and you are quoted with comments on page re them. MCG poster does not seem to be following your discrete/sensible quiet till the case is sorted. Again I hope you win and to be honest after reading plaintiffs case and the updates, I think plaintiff is OTT and hope sense prevails I appreciate you will prob not comment till case resolved, best of luck.
  3. Will santa be driving? If he is I would like to sit on his knee and tell him what I want for xmas. He might need a knee replacement afterwards as I am a big girl:jaw: No doubt they will give me DIET coke:lol:
  4. Best to write in detail showing receipts of ticket and state that she did in good faith pay the fair prior to even being questioned on the subject. I mean they could think she bought it when saw would be stopped if thought fair evader, I mean the person who stopped her. Old codja and SRPO can probably add more later when they are on, they are more in the know what might happen, but you do need to reply to the letter.
  5. RE the sar, you could still do it with housing to show you did try and enquire re the housing side at least and inform them of situation, but again it woudl not help re other benefits but if the notes show you said what you state it could hellp re housing benefit if you were told wrong information.
  6. You need to see a solicitor specialising in benefit law and insist you are single etc..... and get him/her to see if they have enough to class you as couple.
  7. Okay so informing council would not count regarding income support. They are diff depts and you cannot go on what told realting to a benefit they dont manage. On what basis then are they deciding you are a couple living together? They would need to have some evidence to proceed to court.
  8. Sorry does not make sence, they if she had valid ticket prior to stopped would be unlikely to be investigated.
  9. Its stopping in asda mk on 13th, five mins away from us. Kids will go up on their bikes and love it, thanks for pointing it out.
  10. Bet that was brill, I am a blackadder fan. Queenie and edmund my fav characters.
  11. She needed to approach the guard/train manager and try to buy a ticket rather than wait and in any case the booking office being busy is not an excuse to board without ticket, she could have got the next train or bought in advance. Best contact them tell her story and hope they offer fine, then pay the fine or she coudl risk prosecution.
  12. You would need to know when you called, trace the call on phone bill time etc...then apply for sar(subject access request) to show what notes were put on file due to this call. You would need proof you said what you state or could find they argue there is no record of that and you should have noticed something was wrong with no alteration to benefits or confirmation of change of circumstance. Thats why when a lot of people ring dwp they record the call for aide de memoir or record incase discrepancy occurs. You see I am sure there are a lot of people caught who then say I rang and told you, not saying this is the case in this situation, but that is why you need to prove you case. To be honest also when claiming benefits if you disclose anything you need to get it in writing which normally would be confirmation of change of circumstance, if you do not receive this you need to chase them up to check all is okay. I only recently on the income support form checking on details on single mum claims, disclosed that I had a small amount of savings (less than one thousand) even though this is not relevant to claim as in below threshold, I still received a change of circumstance reply telling me that my benefits woudl stay the same despite the update. I would expect if notifying of so described non dependant by them for them to confirm all was okay in writing and that benefits remained same as you say they stated. So check bill and source the time and date of call, its a start.
  13. They are not likely to cry over the loss of your business under the circumstances so dont worry, so happily travel how you want to and do what makes you happy
  14. I am suprised that disabled dont have to ring a call centre that asks 'are you dead yet?' and if the answer is no, says pee off to work then. They have for the sake of a minority of fraud chose to ridicule all with long term medical conditions when we are down enough and the truth is who woudl employ the majority of us due to insurance, health and safety and time needed away from the job due to illness and hospital appts etc..........let alone if we actually make it to work in the first place. And where are these jobs, let alone compassionate employers willing to take us?
  15. £350 mill a year, I suppose that is to make up for what they wrote of with northern rock:| 77 not percent physical ey, perhaps they are not counting mental as important then:| So let off northern rock so it can be bought out and penalise the long term sick to make up, that sounds about it
  16. I am not saying you were living together at all, they have decided that as you have said. You woudl need to have proved you were not a couple as in tenancy elsewhere and utility bills etc.... Electoral roll elsewhere, finances at another addres etc....... They also might have watched and there are deciders on wether a couple or not living together. If you genuinely were not a couple you need to fight it with proof of where you lived prior etc...... If you dont they might just presume you were living together all along. But its up to you.
  17. Was she claiming council tax benefit, as they would have been giving her a single discount. You might find they also will soon be in contact and as you again are not on council tax claim, they would claim an overpayment too.
  18. Because your claim for joint would only start after you make it and fill in the forms. You are on no claim form prior to this and your partner claimed as a single parent that would then be voided.
  19. Admin fee fair enough, I mis read, but either way it is a penalty to you for what happened in one way or another. Your protected your career as anyone would want to, but they allowed you to avoid court and therefore you should be grateful and want to move on and just accept not to do it again.
  20. seeking legal advice. You cant query it after paying a penalty and accepting a resolution sattis to them and you as you accepted it to avoid court, then want to carry it on. You would have had the chance to bring these issues up in court, but you chose not to risk this for your own reasons !!! No harm in writing and complaining I suppose but you accepted you were wrong in paying the penalty, what another person may have done as in diff exit or whatever is irrelevant to you. Best to just forget about it and move on.
  21. Could say you made the calls from a payg mobile as yours of course was missing to balance it out. Porkies always catch you out even innocent ones xx
  22. I would bet you are not a monkeys uncle and I suspect same as you, haha
  23. So obvious man, not normal for one thread to attract so many newbies talking against and for certain companies:wink: SAD I think they think this is a review site:madgrin:
