  1. I did tell them that I understood I made an error and would payback any overpayment, would be about £150
  2. How long do they normally take to investigate an error? I had savings over the £6k (about £2k over) for about 6 months. I did explain that it was because I borrowed the money so I could lock it up for 5 years to earn 6% interest PA. My account showed that money being paid in viA my dad, then paid out 6 months later.
  3. No you don't. You only need to tell them if the is a change in circumstances that affect her benefit. I'm guessing the holiday is less than 4 weeks long.
  4. http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2012/feb/16/disabled-unpaid-work-benefit-cuts Clause 54 of the welfare reform bill allows people in WRAG to be made to undertake work experience for an unlimited amount of time (or have their benefit cut).
  5. Contact your mum's local MP, they have been known to get things moving.
  6. Sadly the only reason it's being done is votes. Treating Disabled people like their all fraudsters is sadly seen as a vote winner, but treating ex-forces like that isn't.
  7. Thought I would post a brief synopsis regarding my transfer from IB. Nov 11 (start), received letter and ESA claim form Dec 11 (start) Returned form. Jan 12 (end) received letter stating “medical” in Feb Feb 12 (end) had “medical”. The “medical” seemed to go ok, but I know you can never really tell. The whole “medical” only lasted 10 minutes. Mar 12 (start) received phonecall stating I had been put in WRAG for 18 months. Mar 12 (mid) received my medical reported that I requested. Most of the stuff I suffer from had been completely missed off, But I still managed to get 15 points. I did consider appealing as I believe I should be in the Support Group. But I ended up deciding not to, as I am on income based it won’t expire after a year, And also I didn’t want to risk a reassessment being brought forward. Apr 12 (start) Received letter stating I had to attend WRAG interview mid May May 12 (Mid) Had interview. Very friendly lady, first updated my details on the system and told me about the support. Also confirmed I was in WRAG for 18 months, also stated "that’s a while, most are for 6 months to a year". She said that clearly I wasn’t ready to return to work but she had to do that interview. Also she does need to keep in touch about how I’m feeling and if I’m ready to return to work (also she has to do that). She asked me if it would be easier for me if we had a telephoned interview next time, and I said yes. She said next interview via phone will be in 6 months time. Everyone’s will no doubt be different but hope it helps someone in someway.
  8. I got a my first interview tomorrow (WRAG) what I read so far they seem a bit clueless. I had a letter from council saying my HB had been stopped because my ESA was stopped but I was appealing. In fact ESA was starting and I never needed to appeal.
  9. The law now says people in WRAG can be put into work experience for a unlimited amount of time. So far not heard anyone having this done, but who knows what the future holds?
  10. I prefer Attlee's solution of dealing the poor and disabled than Hitlers!
  11. If you call “fraud” knowingly depriving someone of money that is rightfully theirs. A person who is convicted of benefit fraud (by Judge), will normally have to pay money back. They also will have another penalty of some kind. Now look at the other side. The Government though lying ATOS, knowingly deprives people claiming ESA money that is rightfully theirs. When they are found guilty of this, by the appeals panel (The Judge) (amazingly 40% of the time), the only penalty is to pay the money. So the real “fraudsters” are the Government, their rate of “fraud” is many times higher than the general public. Also they get away with all this “fraud” without even so much as a “sorry”.
  12. Also it gets people playing the judgement game. EG A report filed because someone doesn't look disabled enough to get DLA, even when the person reporting hasn't a clue what their disability is.
  13. Person A doesn't like person B, so person A reports person B as a benefit cheat. Person B ends up with loads of stress, until they find claim is genuine Person A just laughs, because there is no comeback on them. It's about time statistics are released on how many people are wrongfully investigated because of these anonymous reports.
  14. I have to admit I wouldn't report her. I'm so fed up with disabled people being targeted by the anonymous "tip offs line" a person being investigated without an other evidence. I don't like what the person is doing, but I'm not going the play The Suns game.
  15. Thanks How often are these meetings?
  16. Thanks Flumps. As it happens I should be ok getting to the interview. I live out in the sticks, but have a local bus twice a week that will collected me from my door and drop off mostly where I need to go. This only runs Tues & Fri, and date is a Tuesday. Will have to make sure interviews are only Tues & Fri.
  17. Had "Medical" 23rd Feb, found out I was in WRAG about a week later
  18. Well didn't have to wait long, appointment letter arrived today, got one in mid May. Now the problem is how I get there, will have to contract them so they can arrange transport for me.
  19. Your husbands income will be included, and then benefits worked out. I would take advise as they can look aback and class you as a couple well before the actual marriage, if that happens you risk overpayments and possible benefit fraud depending on the amount. There are people on this forum that are in trouble because of being classed as a couple and not declaring it.
  20. It's mostly about being in a committed relationship, not how many nights someone stays over. When you get married you will be classed as a couple, they could even class you as a couple well before that, as planning a marriage will show you're in a committed relationship.
  21. I'm guessing the answer is like "how long is a piece of string" but will ask just in case. I've just been put into WRAG, how long does it take for the "group" to start? Also how am i contacted? post/ phone?
  22. Yes, you can put in a new claim for the same condition after 6 months from date of decision.. There are people on here, go to "medical" get awarded 0 points, appeal, lose , then put in a new claim.and repeat the process if they fail again.
  23. Put in a new claim for ESA. You can only appeal the tribunal decision if they have errored in law.
  24. Googly, The OP could have something to lose, unlike you, as he "passed" the medical. The risk the OP is deciding on is to appeal on being put into WRAG and not SG. EDIT. The "medicals" are a joke, even the ones that "pass" get denied points. Good luck with you appeal Googly
  25. I should be in the support group, but was put into WRAG. "Medical" was a joke (completely ignored the fact I pass out) I'm surprised I got the 15 points. I decided it wasn't worth the risk in appealing. I was total my review would be in 18 months time. Didn't want the risk of it being brought forward.
