No, you can ask for an appeal using just the same information already submitted
-
Personally I don't agree with not submitting everything. Anything you submit can still be used in an appeal.

Life-Goes-On replied to utopia123's topic in Special needs, Disability etc
I'm surprised someone that was expected to live 6 months a year ago has faith in medicals! -
Awarded ESA but told to find work
Life-Goes-On replied to mandyjay's topic in Special needs, Disability etc
I would report her, saying she doesn't know the ESA rules and needs training. -
BTW why was your ESA stopped? Do you still feel you shouldn't work?

I'd be tempted to get my MP involved.

I had CBT about this issue, and it did help. In summery, when out how will anyone know you're not benefits, but most important, don't worry what others think, as long as you know it's a correct claim then **** them.

Had phonecall, expecting it to be the zero points one. The woman did make a mistake. She said she was from the DWP and said she needed to ask some security questions. I ask she to prove she was from the DWP by giving me the last few numbers from my NI number. She did that, but then forgot to ask me any questions.

Phone call just now. I've been put into the WRAG, next "medical" in 18 months. TBH in a bit of shock, last night I started filling out my appeal in readiness. Will wait till I get the paperwork, then ask for copy of medical. Can you still request your points total?

How much overpayment depends on if they class your spending as deprivation of capital. Jail is unlikely if first offence -

customer compliance officer visit ,really nervous
Life-Goes-On replied to hollowman's topic in Benefits and HMRC
I had a CO visit about too much savings a few weeks ago. The waiting around is the worst kind of torture. -
Thanks Mikey. Normally I wouldn't think of asking, but need to be as careful as possible these days.

No one can say if you will "pass" or not, but he expectation is most people will "fail". Try not to worry, you will get plenty of advice on appealing if you fail.

Even if she could claim, she doesn't spend over 35 hours a week caring for me.

I do have a Blue Badge, as I applied thought my LA, and have for 3 years (is the the max?) Never really looked at the letter till just now, They have ticked "That is badge is to be issued without a further assessment" Does that mean I might not have to be reassessed in Jan 2014 when it runs out?

Been claiming since June 2008. Had medical and "passed" got 16 points (should have had over 50) At the end of 08 claimed DLA was rejected (the ATOS "medical" as many have found was a complete joke), so appealed Took over a year (Jan 10) as got awarded LRC & LRM but only for a year. Reapplied Dec 10, filled out the forms very much the same as I did first time, was expecting to get rejected and have to appeal. Much to my surprised got awarded it without a medical, and also now got MRC & LRM I didn't realize how much difference getting MRC made. I live alone so get extra due to add ons with the other benefit. I don't think GF could get CA for me as she works full time.
