  1. Advice please. My GF drives me everywhere I need to go (I'm not allowed to drive), we live apart and have no plans to change this. I want to pay my share towards the cost of car (about 1/4 share) What is the best way to go about this? Give her the money? Could be either cash or bank transfer Take a turn putting petrol in, so paying for the petrol. Any suggestions would help. Thanks
  2. Very true. It's something that I will have to get use too
  3. No, it was very basic. Maybe it was the question "do you drive" I stated "No, Dr told me I'm not allowed, as I black out" I know I should get 15 points for the "altered state of consciousness" but still expect 0
  4. Had my medical this morning, took under 10 mins. Not what I was expecting, but do still expect 0 points.
  5. >If she is aged 25 to 34, and has previously been in homeless hostel or is an ex-offender, she may also be protected from the shared room rate. More rights for an attacker than a victim, it's a messed up system.
  6. You will get the assessment rate while appealing, but you will need to send in sick (fit) notes during the that period
  7. Just because you have a medical condition doesn't mean you re /fit/unfit to work, it's how it effects you. A person can easily claim JSA, but then find they can not manage their condition so then claims ESA.
  8. what type of JSA, and how long where you claiming at the different times?
  9. I maybe wrong but thought the year started in April 2012, so you keep them to April 2013. I'm guessing they will many appeals from those in WRAG, by people that have nothing to lose.
  10. Quick it's unlikely to be, expect to wait anything up to a year, maybe more.
  11. Never feel guilty for getting something you should have. (personally I would request a copy of your ""medical & points total as it might help for future "medicals")
  12. Well done. You only get the medical report and points total if you request them.
  13. Pretty sure the answer in No. You will have to sign off, and sign back on again (rapid reclaim) when you return.
  14. Some people do "pass" the "medical" but it does seem rare, normally it's 0 points. You might be a "lucky" one. (using "lucky" tongue in cheek) Expect the worse, but hope for the best.
  15. Normally it's because something about your claim has been flagged up. (but can also just be random) Common causes are they believe you could be living with someone (LTAHAW) or having too much savings.
  16. DLA and ESA are separate, you will still carry on getting DLA
  17. I don't know if this is correct but If the fare costs more than the pay, then you can't afford to travel that way, so that will mean walking. If the walk takes longer than 90 minutes then you shouldn't apply for job as it's outside the agreement.
  18. First of all prison is very unlikely if it's the first time, the amount and it wasn't fraudulent from the start. Personally I don't think they will believe you never once checked your bank statement in all that time, even if it was yo check your wages had been paid. They will look at what can be expected, and the expectations will be someone who is working will check payments.
  19. This might help http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/BenefitsTaxCreditsAndOtherSupport/Illorinjured/DG_171909
  20. I'm going for a "medical" next week. I'm not worried about it as I know I will get 0 points normally you need to be dead to get over 15 points (I'm sure someone as ATOS would give 0 points to a corpse) Get ready to appeal, while waiting for a hearing (when appealing always ask for one that you attend) send in Dr sick (fit) notes and you will carry on getting the assessment rate.
  21. To you have to fill in a form for each tax year?
  22. They make it up as they go along. I'm off to Lourdes next week, to get my duck egg, and entry into the Iron Man competition.
  23. I echo the advice to call them. Explain how it can't be right to be expected to go to theses meetings when a decision hasn't been made on what group you are in.
  24. To me (I'm no expert) it doesn't make much sense. I thought the run on for WTC was 4 weeks. Also CTB is based on income, and on £400 PM you must get something. Hopefully someone who knows about the system will advise you shortly. PS I'm guessing you don't have savings.
