  1. Take action, start disputing the amount, write to them telling them you believe that most of the amount is caused by charges, then get your statements and work it out. If it is in dispute, then they should wait until it is resolved before asking you to repay it. Do you have your S.A.R yet..?
  2. They are charges that you shouldn`t have paid, count them in. It`s when the bank either refuse or pay a payment, when there isn`t enough in the account.
  3. PS, them stalling won`t give them a get out clause, and it`s very unlikely they will defend and win, they haven`t so far. If you want to know what happened, look at the survey results here: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/surveyresults.php
  4. Almost everyone has got this, it will drag on, but it is your money, would you rather they had it or you...? If you accept this, you are doing exactly what they want you to do. You could accept it as part payment to the full amount, but they will probably withdraw the offer. I can`t tell you what to do, but take a look around, get a few more opinions and decide when you are ready.
  5. standard defence, you`ll get a cpr pt 18 next, fill it in and return it. it`s all just stalling tactics. keep going.
  6. No thanks letter sent yesterday, they`ll get it Monday.
  7. standard letter, carry on, that offer will be withdrawn if you carry on, but you`ll get your full amount eventually.
  8. Thanks you lot, I`m sure it`s not far off now, I would have a party if I wasn`t so far away.....!
  9. I tried that, then it arrived a day late.
  10. Quck update, got an offer of £1900 through the post from Cobblers today, thanks but no thanks.
  11. Sorry, but so far it sounds like a problem.
  12. I did nationwide Flex account online, got going within a week.
  13. That`s not true, people do want to post, they just haven`t done it yet. good luck (not that you`ll need it) and welcome.
  14. Yes, they have recieved it, you will probably hear from their solicitors quite soon.
  15. Don`t worry, most people reach this stage.
  16. Go for it, I`m (hopefully) nearly at the end. With profits like that, it`ll take a few more members to worry them.
  17. If you tell them you are disputing it and taking court action, it would help. Tell them you will deal with any issues they have after the dispute is resolved, but only then. It worked for me, the bank sent 1 letter saying they wanted the O/D issue sorted, I responded with the dispute/court thing, and they have gone quiet. I`m just at the stage of AQ form now, not long to go, if they pay up, my O/D (mostly caused by 6 years of their charges) will be gone.

I have an aquaintance who is nearing the end of a big NHS case, they are finding it hard going, should I tell them about this site, or would it just depress them.
  19. Don`t hold yopur breath, my defence was served on the 29th day, so the courts are letting them of with being late. How annoying.
  20. Ive done that, and I`m still waiting, I have until 20th to submit my AQ, would it speed things up if I submitted it sooner ...?8)
  21. Give them an extra day on top of that, the court does.
  22. If you are already communicating in writing, then don`t bother.
  23. Out of interest, does anyone know if the AQ form is processed as soon as it gets to the court or does it get processed on the filing date at the top right corner.
  24. Get your case together go to stage 1, inform the bank your account is in dispute, and when this is resolved, you will deal with any other issues.
