  1. Curlyben, still as handsome as ever I see. Thank you!
  2. No, nothing other than her application form. -- Interestingly, they sent another letter just a day after their CCA response- 'I write to inform you that your account has been sold to Lowell Portfolio on the --/09/06. Amazing, it's only taken them 1 year to give that information!
  3. I sent a CCA request to AK in July to which I've had no response from them other than umpteen calls and texts to mobile demanding repayment.
  4. I CCAd Lowells in July. They have just sent a copy of the 'original credit agreement' - could some kind person have a look and advise if it is a credit agreement or an application form. Many thanks. 1.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting 2.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
  5. Congratulations CB, what a nice way to start the weekend.
  6. Had a dig about and found it, thanks hedgey.
  7. Hi everybody, I sent an SAR to NatWest 42 days ago. I was with them from about '91-2002 and had several accounts during that time. This morning I received copies of just one year's statments from 2001-2002, and nothing else in the envelope just the statements. Who would I chase for the rest of the information?
  8. Hi, I've dealt with Fleet on behalf of my husband, they were horrendous over the phone, abusive and rude. Before I discovered this site I wrote and told them never to phone again and I sent a letter of complaint. That seemed to do the trick, but watch out.... they agree to a monthly repayment plan which ticks along nicely for 6 months/12 months, then out of the blue they send a letter from their 'legal dept'... 'Further to our letter of.....It is noted with regret that you do not wish to settle this matter without further action being taken...blah blah blah' I was taken aback at first, because the letter they referred to was 15 months old, I wondered what they were on about because payments had been made as promised. When it happened again I realised it was just their pathetic attempt at putting the frighteners on. They do it instead of attempting a civilised account review. Despicable DCA, one of the worst to deal with in my view.
  9. Bump, anybody.... please? Need a word of advice about missing statements, approx. 20+ - should I hazard a guess over possible charges? Do I reclaim interest?
  10. Hi, thanks Jet, thanks shywazz for your replies. Much appreciated.
  11. Hi Here's a link to a post that's quite similar to yours, it may help until somebody more knowledgeable comes along. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/debt-collectors-debt-collection/111207-recieved-letter-dca-not.html?highlight=Is+debt+Statute+barred

  13. GE Money have failed to provide a number of statements, the same as happened to many others on here. It's difficult to say whether there are charges on them or not so any advice is welcome. Also, about claiming interest, has anybody else attempted it and won? If so, would it be at their current rate which is 28%? Many thanks.
  14. Our council give a choice of 2 payment dates, the 1st or the 15th of the month. Apart from that they are extremely rigid... probably because they are broke, having mismanaged their finances and lost £1m!
  15. Same here N.P. I haven't heard a peep from them either!
  16. Done. Son wants this back with the Student Loan Company where it belongs. They've given him a right run-around over the years, losing his paperwork, sending letters to the wrong address, and then slapping charges on him. Very frustrating.
  17. Well done pommy, just read your thread! I sent SAR to HSBC, 37 days ago so it was interesting to see how long they took to respond to you.
  18. Hi phoebesmum - somebody far more knowledgeable than me will be along shortly I'm sure, but I didn't think the OFT case affected credit cards? I'll bump this up for you.
  19. Hi Gem523, I'd certainly be trying to reclaim charges. You might want to post in the NatWest forum as well as this one. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/natwest-bank/
  20. He's paying by debit card. Bank said they have no record of a payment agreement so they can't cancel it. (Eh?) Am googling at present, determined to stop this payment.
  21. They have defaulted on CCA request, how do we stop bank payments? Can't cancel via the 'net, rang the bank, they said they can't do it. Now NCO are refusing to answer their phone. Yes, hard to believe I know but they just keep hanging up! There's a payment due to them from son's account next week which he's trying to cancel until he gets some answers. Any ideas?
  22. Update. I sent an S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) in July, got a reply from them questiong why I wanted the information. (See above.) I then sent a 2nd SAR: Dear BH I sent a letter in July and enclosed a £10 postal order for a Subject Access Request, as is my right under the Data Protection Act. I have been waiting for you to supply me with a complete list of transactions and charges relating to my loan history with your organisation, within the 40 days stipulated under the Data Protection Act. It is your legal obligation to comply with this request, butas yet I have not received the requested information. By not supplying the information I requested you are breaching my rights under the Data Protection Act, section 5. This is my second request. Please supply me with a complete list of transactions and charges relating to my loan history with your organisation. Alternatively, a complete set of statements for that period will be acceptable. I again enclose the £10 fee. If I do not receive the requested information within the next seven days, I will forward copies of my requests to the Information Commissioner. Please note, failure to comply will cause you to be in breach of the Sixth Data Protection Principle and liable to compensation to myself, together with a fine of up to £5000. Any further protractions on your part in this matter and a formal request to the Data Protection Supervisor will be made to undertake an assessment of the information you have on my behalf. Please find enclosed a copy of my original letter. --------------------- They haven't responded to the SAR, but they did write and say 'thank you for requesting a settlement figure and a copy of your statement.....' Very frustrating, this is the 2nd time they've responded like this. What would my next step be? All advice gratefully received. Thanks!
