  1. Hi, It's the Credit Card one from this site: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general/6964-spreadsheet-interest.html I've downloaded the one from your link now and it looks more user-friendly. Sorry, was getting confused, I thought you said in an earlier post not to use it because it's for bank charges only?
  2. Hi UK How about this one? http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/Spreadsheets/England/Complex-credit-card-charges-calc.xls
  3. Hi Ukaviator Their APR was something like 29+% until last year I think, then it increased to 34+%. Monthly transactions on statement read like this: 13/12/02 LATE PAYMENT FEE £20.00 14/12/02 PPI £ 1.55 17/12/02 INTEREST (APPLIED) £ 1.59 17/12/02 INTEREST (APPLIED) £ 2.74 Do I add both Interests together and divide by 2? -- I've downloaded this spreadsheet: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/Spreadsheets/England/Simple-charges-calc.xls Do I have to enter all the cleared transactions? And what about - 'Days since offence' ? Does that stay in? --------------- Thanks for your help, please stay with me because the penny's not dropping yet.
  4. Help please, any Cap1 experts reading this?? Could somebody please talk me through in baby steps?? I've read up on the PPI and will be claiming that back. Tried Vamps' chambers for spreadsheets but all links are broken, eventually found one in the library but have not a clue how to fill it in or what interest to reclaim. I've gone through the statements and now have a total of all the charges, do I list them seperately on the spreadsheet? Thanks for any advice.
  5. Hi, yep, that's the address I used.
  6. Statements have arrived, so now have to work out the charges. But I need some advice please - Can son reclaim PPI? They stipulated a credit limit but every month allowed him to go over it, consequently there are charges. And every month along with those charges there are 2 lots of interest added, same date, different amounts. e.g. 13/12/02 LATE PAYMENT FEE £20.00 14/12/02 PPI £ 1.55 17/12/02 INTEREST (APPLIED) £ 1.59 17/12/02 INTEREST (APPLIED) £ 2.74 Can all be reclaimed?
  7. Hi, I'd send them an S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) and take it from there. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/bank-templates-library/516-1-data-protection-act.html
  8. Hi Bilgeman, have a look at this thread, nannamoon asked the same question recently: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/debt-collectors-debt-collection/109754-r-subject-access-request.html?highlight=SAR+non-compliance
  9. Subscribing. Hi again drob, just read your thread and will stay with it. My son also has several 'collection activity fees' on his statement.
  10. I would follow the advice that Rory gave you earlier - offer to pay them the correct outstanding balance of £280 in return for removal of the default. Tell them that the alternative is that you pay them nothing and get the default removed by way of a court order.
  11. I've just found a very similar thread, with some excellent advice. Here's the link: http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/general-debt/110068-black-horse-their-usual.html#post1080801
  12. My son sent an S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) to Black Horse in July, requesting a complete list of transactions and charges relating to his loan history with them ( approx. 8 years?) . They have now replied - 'We have recently received a number of letters all worded exactly the same as that received from you, where the prime purpose behind requesting a copy of the information we hold seems to be to dispute the additional charges applied to an account. We are aware of the recent instruction from OFT in relation to additional charges incurred through late, missed or unpaid payments, however, this instruction relates only to charges incurred against credit card agreement debts. As our agreement with you is not such an agreement, the instruction from OFT does not apply. If the purpose of your request is to dispute additional charges incurred, whilst we are happy to provide a copy of the information we hold, the production of such information will not serve any real purpose in detailing when and why the additional charges have been incurred. In order to show the transactions against your account, I have arranged for a statement to be sent to you. Whilst the statement will show repayments received, it will not show the additional charges incurred, unless your agreement with us is complete or charges have been paid previously in which case these will be shown as debits on the statement. (* *Here they list several collection activity fees that have been incurred recently but which haven't yet been debited to the account.) (Letter continues...) I have also returned your £10 as there is no fee for this information and statement. If however when you receive the statement you still requite a copy of all the information we hold, please return the £10 to us and we will arrange for this to be sent to you. I hope the statement and breakdown of additional charges is of assistance and satisfies your query. END -- Well, of course it doesn't satisfy his query, so back will go the £10 but can anybody help me with a written response? Can he rightfully request a breakdown of charges going back over several years? Any advice gratefully received.
  13. I saw on teletext last night that the court case will be held in January/February 2008.
  14. Thank you col, firstwithit and Curlyben. Your replies are much appreciated.
  15. Thanks elliesnan. I'll tell her to wait and see what develops.
  16. My daughter CCAd Lowells last week. She got a reply this morning saying they're requesting a copy of the agreement from the original lender. Also received this morning was another letter from Lowells, this one from their pre-litigation dept. How should she deal with it?
