  1. Hello people....Just found this thread..I have been hassled for ages by NCO/RMA.. About 3 weeks ago they sent me a card saying they would call Tues between 9 & 9.......Hope this makes you chuckle.... I sent them an invoice for £200 plus VAT for not turning up, what do you think my chances are of getting paid ????????
  2. Hey....Forget about everything except YOUR 5k..... If you have to spend 24 hours preparing 300 pages, think of the return.. If you actually get to court, i bet they dont...Stay calm, follow the proven method on this site and you will be fine.................... If it works for everybody else, it will work for you to............ Good luck........................
  3. congratulations I wouldnt worry to much about there so called legal tosh. Its just their way of saying, You naughty boy, How dare you take on the mighty NatWest bank, dont you dare do it again. I have THAT basic account, with no facilities, it didnt stop them applying £1,600 in charges to my account though.. Well done....
  4. Hi suzie and welcome....Do read up on as much as you can, then post your thread in the bank forum that you are with... Good luck
  5. Hi Erin and welcome....do take your time to read as much as poss.. When you start your own claim remember to post it in the relevant bank forum. your questions will be picked up much easier by the people who have allready been through it..
  6. Remind them that part of their extortionate charges are to insure against such eventualities......
  7. Sorry to hear about your father As an unsecured debt, the balance dies with the account holder. If you persue the £800, they might want to persue the £ 2,200.... Just inform them of his passing away, and they should close the account with a zero balance.......
  8. Debbie..i submitted my claim at my local court and paid cash.... Enjoy your money whichever route you choose....Wish somebody would give me £ 1,545. for doing nothing but wait 6 more weeks...
  9. Have been ringing and ringing and (guess) ringing till my fingers bleed...... I had/have 4 accounts that i am waiting for statements on before i can proceed.. But im going back 17 years. no doubt if i ring again i will get the last 6 years in triplicate to add to the rain forest full that i have allready...
  10. Sorry.. I wish i had got that far....Hopefully one of the top chaps & chapesses (hi saintly) will read this and point you in the right direction.... Good luck though......
  11. Got the notice of issue on my 3rd claim today, but not my copy of the claim form..... Why do it in one go when they can take 3 ?
  12. We should be so lucky..... One set would do me..... Saves you on photo copying though.....
  13. The fees could be 40% or even higher...Please look again..
  14. Firstly, why wait months to start claiming against your bank, its taking months to get anywhere. I would start asap.. As for the charges, yes, they can make these charges because they are in the T&Cs. What you have to remember is that dosent necessarily make them legal because THEY write the contract...Again i would send a S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) to your mortgage co asap, and see excactly what you are dealing with... I dont believe they would do anything deliberately to make a second charge, as they opperate under strict laws, and could be fined heavily if proven guilty.. Nobody ever made a fool of themselves on this site, simply by asking some questions.... Start with the new S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) generator on the opening page of the forum and keep us posted, dont forget to keep a copy and send recorded delivery.. Good luck..
  15. Crazy or what ??? Issued 3 claims... Barclays X 2 Nastywest X 1 on 5th June..... Received notice of issue, deemed served on 7th June.....X2............... Made 2 claims against same Barclays address, but only got 1 notice of issue........ Even the courts are making it harder than it needs to be...... Will i have to issue a non compliance claim against the courts ???? This is a lighthearted attempt at sarcasm before you start answering...
  16. They ignored my last non compliance just as they ignore SARs, they do things as and when they are ready, by the time i get them to court for non compliance i will have had the info im looking for, i think distractions are just adding to the delay...Thanx for advice but a pattern has emerged and i wil wait a bit longer...
  17. I sent my S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) My cheque And a photocopy of the cheque, they couldnt use this excuse to delay my application, didnt do a lot of good though, been waiting 46 days now, oh and i kept a copy for my files...
  18. Hi lapwings...Start a new thread in the Barclays forum, and the Barclays experts will pick you up in no time.....I thought of using a solicitor ( for about 2 minutes ) Everything you need, and i mean everything, is on this site.... Take your time and read up on as much as you can.....You will be fine...Good luck...
  19. Hi Claire...Have you posted a thread in the Clydesdale Bank forum ? If not start one now and you will get all the help you need by being picked up easier..Also, if this is your real name you might want to change your thread name, as the banks monitor this site.....
  20. Have you signed a contract with this company.
  21. Hi lushni....I cant tell you the satisfaction i got from taking my claim in to my local court..... :) BIG cheshire cat grin..... :) Done everything thru link above and then printed it out,,do print enough copies though as it wont let you save to file.... Go get em.....
  22. Welcome frenchyboy............. Patients & perseverance seems to be the order of the day...... Although i sent SAR & 3 reminders & 5 phone calls, they still took 127 days to supply statements in my case....... And YES, i guess they did see me coming..... But what ever you do DONT give up...........
  23. Stick to the proven time scales, not theirs. Give them a day and they will take a year...
  24. People, as you are all so kind, and have been there, i hope you dont mind if i ask a couple of questions....... I have submitted a claim to Barclays for the last 6 years for Approx £1,200. with 8%....... What i want to do soon is go for broke ( several £££thou ) 1990 to 2001 with CI.....Firstly is CI feasible/realistic as a sole trader, and secondly, do i need copies of T&Cs for the whole period so i can indentify the interest rate that i need to charge....Many thanks for any info....
  25. Id send them a photocopy of the original, highlighting the information, and politely reminding them that the 40 days are up and you are now moving on to non compliance...And then do it.....If you give them a day, they will take a year...
