Royal Mail says Prelim delivered on the 03rd Feb (Sat)... Will give them 14 days from today.. LBA due on the 19th Feb! AtMoSpHeRiC

Go for it Iona.. I am in very similar circumstances as you.. hubby not well, DD's coming out on the wrong dates etc.. I have also made numerous phone calls trying to reason with the Halifax to no avail...I know you feel deflated at the mo but you will soon start to feel better when you get the ball rolling.. The people on this site are amazing! I sent my prelim off on the 02nd of february and they charged me again the same day! But instead of feeling down I thought hmmm I can let em borrow it for a few weeks.. CAUSE IM GETTING IT BACK .. I will say though that I phoned for my statements and they arrived in 7 days.. I have noticed that people are sending SAR's and having to wait a long time till they get their statements.. It is up to you, maybe order them by phone and send a confirmation letter out to say you have ordered them and they have 40 days to comply etc... Have a feeling you will receive them quicker.. no worries hun, think we would all like the 8% interest from the off! Makes our claims look a lil fatter lol... Hi Sarge, I asked the very same question on my thread and was told to add the extra charge/charges to your spreadsheet and amend your LBA letter with the new amount you are claiming. Thats what I will be doing when it is time to send my LBA as I have incurred another charge..on the day i sent out the prelim!:o lol Go Sarge, get every penny back AtMoSpHeRiC

Hi Superowls, From what I have read on the forums as soon as they send that letter out it is not long till they send out statements.. I did this a different way and phoned for my statements and they arrived in 7 days. They should be with you soon! Can't see a phone call to remind them would do you any harm! AtMoSpHeRiC

Hey welcome to the fight, When you send off you first prelim letter and the LBA do NOT include interest. This only gets put on at the court stage! Use the spreadsheet to list all charges but take off the 8% interest at this stage.. I have saved a spreadsheet with and without interest in case i get to the court stage! Go to the bank templates library and use the Interest calculation sheets! I used the simple excel and removed 8% interest... I sent my prelim off friday and royal mail said it was delivered saturday! 14 days and counting!:grin: AtMoSpHeRiC

Hi, I phoned Halifax for my statements on the 26th January 2007 and received them today 02 Feb 2007... 7 days in total! I have today sent my prelim off for £1,684! Halifax seem pretty quick with statements if you call them:rolleyes: AtMoSpHeRiC

Holy Howard!... that was quick lol Received 15 envelopes this morning from the Halifax..(Who else!! lol) Statements going back the 5 years since we opened our account.. I have never been so happy seeking out past charges, felt good hehehe. £1,684 in total.. that is gonna come in handy.. My husband is not working at the mo and I am a Student Nurse on a pityfull bursary! Sending prelim today! Who gives you xtra CAG! CAG! CAG!

You never can tell from what I have read.. If you did go to court just think, you will get more back! All I know is that it seems everyone is getting back what they are owed.. power to us I say! Im still waiting for statements at the mo.. can not wait till I can get my first letter sent! Go for it haileyraeburn!

Hi guys, I have just called Halifax to get my last 6 years bank charges.. They charged me £5 from my account which was took out 5 minuites after the phone call! Before they agreed to send me my charges the guy I was talking to said "Oh Mrs Jones I will have a word with my superviser and see if we can get SOME of these charges refunded today!" I was astonished but kept my cool and said no I will just have my statements please hehehe.. Wonder how much they would have offered! Anyway they say I will recieve them in 7-10 days!
