Hi guys, I am new to the Yorkshire forum, I have just successfully won £1,700 from the Halifax and now starting to pursue Yorkshire for my neighbour! Hi Naomi, To be honest I am not sure of what you should do, my own thoughts are that they still should give you your charges back regardless of the (so-called) state of your account. If there is anyone out there that can help please do.. As I would have gone to court for this but I am not sure if it is the right thing to do either? I will be keeping an eye on your thread Naomi.. Hi Netyard, You will not say something you shouldn't, you willbe fine..you will get all your charges back!Everyone I spoke to was really helpful... especially because it is file for court time... Just tell them you accept the money they have put into your account as part payment but you want all of it.. otherwise that lil MCOL button will be pressed... You will have all your charges back.. they snapped my hand off as i was due to file for court the same day! Keep the faith Net.. Hi Hardcore Did you receive the standard letter from the Halifax? if so use the number they gave you on there and ask for the person who signed the letter.. Like I was told would not do you any harm to tell them your intentions of when your going to file.. Do be aware though that my first phone call I got fobbed off BUT it got them sorting out my file.. They say it just to try and make you back off I think... If you did not have a letter try calling 0121 234 1068, Alan Molineux, Review Manager. Doo from this site gave me this number and they sorted me out with which office and who looked after my case.. I spoke to a nice gentleman so I think you will be ok to phone that one I think.. I was shocked it took me as long too, but your time is now dark and enjoy it when it comes.. I must say the whole process has been an eye opener and the people on this site are so supportive.. Hi Darkmanx, I phoned the telephone banking number to get ours and they were delivered in 7 days exactly.. I know it takes longer if you send a SAR.. Some times it doesnt go as far as the courts.. Mine did not.. I WON today for my full charges.. Very pleased.. Have a look at my thread if you like from requesting my statements to now it is exactly 5 weeks! Thanks Timsgirlfriend I am very chuffed.. Yeah Harcore.. She kept to her word, received fax and sent it back about 10 mins ago! Wow still cant believe it.. just come in time for my youngest sons birthday too! Hahaha OMG today just gets better.. Laura has just called me again to make sure I have recieved the fax, plus she has also e-mailed the payment office to look out for my fax and to pay the money in my account as soon as they get it LOL.. That Laura girl is good, and she stuck to her word.. I must say I am very impressed with how she has dealt with everything. She said to me Thanks for YOUR time! Called this morning told them I was filing today in a last ditch attempt to get all of my charges back! And I succeeded.. I could have never done it without the CAG site.. as soon as I get money in my account a donation will be on it's way! It will be £120 for £1,723... if they have offered partial and I go for the rest it might be smaller maybe £80... will just have to change the amounts on the MCOL form, as it saves it when you fill it in.. till your happy with it and submit it. AtMoS X

Hi Chopkins, I gave Halifax a call a about 5 days ago to remind them that LBA time was nearly up and that I would be filing for court monday! I was told that I should go to court if i want to! BUT.. I called again yesterday (friday) and told them that I was still going to court Monday and that I would be willing to try and settle this before court action. This guy simon said that oh you have been offered £1,108.00 I am claiming 1,723.00.. I told him I would accept this as partial settlement and I would be pursuing them for the rest in court! He had no power to up the offer but told me that the woman sorting my claim out would call me.. Yet no call.. So on Monday morning I am going to give them another call... if no success I am going to court.. I feel it is worth a shot, especially if you want to avoid court action.. I do not mind either way to be honest..! I am going to stick to my guns whatever... If you decide to give them a call keep us posted.. as I should be filing the same day as you AtMoSpHeRiC X
