Hi :)

I have all my bank statments going back to when the account was opened. I have downloaded the Bank Charges spreadsheet and worked out what the charges come to (£830). My question is do I need to send off to the DPA for another set of statements and any manual interventions (or requests of) before sending the first letter to the bank? Do I need this information if the case goes to court?

No need - just go to the preliminary request for refund - keep us posted.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have worked out the charges on my account and I have downloaded the spreadsheet from the templates library provided by Vampress (which does make this easier to understand, thanks) and completed this according to the instructions. However I have found when there have been several charges in an 'interest month' the calculations are coming up as more than the monthly interest charge. For example in one month I had three charges of 25.00 total 75.00, the overdraft interest charge for this period was 8.83 on a end balance of -1,093.50, the spreadsheet calculates for each charge the interest would be 5.21 totaling 15.63, is this correct? Tried to work out how this was calculated but there are hidden columns being used.

I just want to make sure this is correct before sending my first letter.

Not too sure if this is correct - could you send a PM to Vampiress and ask her please....?
