Yes, I have decided to wait for their response to my initial letter before I take it any further

Although I already have got a second bank account in place that is a basic one only without cheque book etc and I would prefer to stay where I am

HSBC is very cheap for International Banking (i.e. no charges for incoming credits from my parents who live abroad and send the money in a different currency), whilst other banks charge I think around £7-£10.- each time conversion fees

So I will tread carefully for a moment
