Just recieved a notice of court action letter from these have printed off a cca and will post it with its £1 so then hopefully will be ok.

The debt is owed to LTSB from an old bank account which we have not used for many years have no idea whats it caused by so hopefully this will help.

If it's over 6, I wouldn't even bother sending a CCA letter, just write to them stating that you do not aknowledge any debt to them, and that the original debt is statute barred and they should get stuffed

You will also find that Mac Hall, can talk the talk but are never able to walk the walk.

 

99% of their letters are all puff and bluster and they never follow through with their threats of court etc, as 99.99% of the time they do not have the required documentation of whichever debt they are tracing.

 

Never ever telephone these clowns !!! under any circumstances.

Send them the CCA Letter if the debt is not statue barred, and if you are unsure about anything just come back to this thread, there are plenty of people here who will help you further

What does the letter say? MHall are known for sending out fake court documents which are designed to scare the receivers into a response. I think their wrists were slapped a couple of years ago for sending out fake statutory demands. If they are up to their old tricks again I would ignore them completely but send copies of the letter to trading standards (your local council) and to East Ayrshire District Council's trading standards department as well as the Office of Fair Trading.
