I can not answer that question.

Oh go on then let's have a bash.

I started vaping to hopefully do less damage to myself and wean myself off cigs.

However I suppose being addicted to nicotine is strong, that strong I cannot see myself coming off the ecig.

Perhaps the Welsh have decided if possible we want people nowhere near nicotine and so you shall not vape.We will break that habit of nicotine in public places. And strangly enough if there is a ban somewhere it is amazing how you cope.No vaping in a gym no problem i find. The nicotine kick is so strong if I did not have one I would be back on the cigs in a flash.Sad but true.

And looking in the mirror one day I nearly passed out.My back half of my tongue had turned brown.Thought I had the plague.

Hit google so fast to find out what I had.

Turns out I have Vapers Tongue- ugh.

Check it out

This post is coming from a no smoking no drinking house.

But one hell of a vaping den.

I have no problem if people wish to vape on their own property, the same as smoking real ciggs but do not do it in my presence and spoil my enjoyment in the public arena

It is bad enough trying to get into the pub front doors for a meal which you can cut with a knife the fag smoke, without encouraging this side habit

Lol, that's a funny article.

I especially like the bit where it says he burned his lungs, but not his mouth/tongue/throat/trachea. That's some selective nicotine he's got there.

The story of the other guy where it blew a hole through his palette was funny too. I assume it went right through his palette, through his brain, out the other side of his head and it currently on its way to mars.

But the best bit is where it says nicotine use leads to cocaine abuse, but only in ex-smokers who vape, not in people who get their nicotine via a cancer stick, or a patch.

There is a word i'm trying to think of, I think it might start with BULL and end in SH$T.

'Using e-cigarettes is related to problematic drinking, according to new research published in Addictive Behaviors.....The results suggest that using e-cigarettes to quit smoking could mean people miss out on the benefits of quitting; smoking cessation generally results in people drinking less alcohol, but using e-cigarettes means this decrease may not happen....'

'Travellers will no longer be able to pack e-cigarettes in their hold luggage when flying.

A new air safety rule, which will be implemented on November 6, means both passengers and crew flying to, within and from the U.S. are banned from bringing the devices on any aircraft in a checked bag - due to fears that they may cause a fire in the hold.

Shisha pens, e-pipes, personal vaporizers, and electronic nicotine delivery systems, are also prohibited...The new rule, which will still allow passengers to bring e-cigarettes onto an aircraft in hand luggage, also bans the charging of the devices and their batteries on board the aircraft.'

'The body for UK's e-cigarette players brings in a healthcare lobbyist (Peter Cuthbertson) to argue its case as national parliaments adopt new European legislation...The new laws regarding e-cigarettes are set to come into force on 20 May 2016, and Beckett said the industry was concerned about noises from the Welsh Parliament that it could ban their use in public places and from the Scottish Parliament about restricting how the products can be advertised...Cuthbertson said: “People confuse e-cigarettes, which are an alternative for people who have a nicotine craving, far too much with cigarettes, and there’s a danger of them being treated the same. We need to make our case at a political level.” He called the directive “a piece of bad legislation” and said UK e-cigarette businesses could be hit financially by an overly stringent product testing requirements....'

and, the Huff reports on a uk teenager survey 'One in five 14-17 year olds have tried e-cigarettes before - according to BMC Public Health, a peer reviewed medical journal that surveyed 16,193 teenagers across the UK. Currently, there is a disparity among health groups and news outlets over the issue of whether e-cigarettes are a valid tool to quit smoking...With a rising number of teenagers across the globe turning to e-cigarettes, government health groups such as Public Health England (PHE) are beginning to see e-cigarettes as a less harmful alternative to smoking. However, anti-tobacco groups such as British Lung Foundation (BLF) are hesitant to support the usage of e-cigarettes in fear of it becoming a gateway stimulus to smoking tobacco....'

From your second link:

Among their key takeaways: e-cigarettes do not appear to attract young adults, non-smokers or promote relapse among longer-term former smokers.
The finding that daily e-cigarette use is less common among 18-24 year olds and never smokers is good news.
That sounds like good news but I doubt it will quell the fear mongers.

'Quitting smoking in the new year? You’ll soon be able to get e-cigarettes on the NHS – but ssshhhhhhh, don’t spread it it around. The government wants to keep it on the DL so that doctors aren’t overrun by raging nicotine addicts. Last month the NHS licensed e-Voke, which means doctors will be able to offer it on prescription. 'A toxic chemical that is linked to a type of lung disease has been found in flavoured e-cigarettes. Diacetyl, thought to cause a disease known as “popcorn lung”, or bronchiolitis obliterans, was found in more than 75 per cent of flavoured e-cigarettes and refill liquids in a study by Harvard University. The disease was dubbed popcorn lung because it was first seen in workers who inhaled artificial butter flavour in microwave popcorn processing plants. Diacteyl is used as a butter substitute in flavours like cotton candy and cupcake and is thought to be safe when eaten, but could have harmful effects when inhaled, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in the US...'
