Fail to Comply With Requirement To Deliver Up Vel Voi - Collectia

Dear All,

 

I am deeply distressed - I have returned home today following a day in work.

I open a letter and immediately, I am stunned with regards to a collectica Enforcement Agency Letter. The letter is demanding £590 from me for: Fail to Comply With Requirement To Deliver Up Vel Voi.

I have no idea what this is.

I suffer with a mental illness and the last thing I need is the distress of this.

I contact the collectica and the person is very rude, I say to him that his customer service is awful. He said he does not do customer service.

He demanded payment although I stated, I knew nothing about the fine and I had not received any letters or a summons regarding any issues.

He told me he new nothing about what it was for and insisted on a payment or a arrangement. I once again advised him, I was not aware of any thing stretching back to 2010 - in fact I am not aware of nothing.

I am deeply distressed does anybody have any idea what this means. thanks, Paul

I have moved your thread to the correct forum. You need do nothing (except continue posting)

 

Who or what is Vel Voi? Never heard of it!

 

Do not part with anything just in case they have the wrong person.

 

Now you have rand them, it is likely that they will now have your phone number so if (when) they ring back, refuse to answer the security questions and state firmly 'In Writing Only!'

Yes Silver Fox: The letter states for the offence of: Fail Comply With Requirement To Deliver Up Vel Voi. Thank you for the advice to say in writing only. Ive never had a court summons and dont go to the area were the Court who issued the fine.

Found this on google xxxx aged xx, of Halifax Road, Keighley; failure to comply with requirement to deliver up VEL void due to dishonoured cheque, £175 fine, £95 excise back duty, £60 costs.

It does sound like a Vehicle Excaise Licence has been voided. Have you ever

a) Owned a car

b) paid the tax by cheque

c) has any cheque bounced

 

We are just guessing at the moment

Yes to owning Cars and Vans. Im not aware of any cheque ever bouncing although I have paid by cheque in the past.

Il will cheque with wife when she gets in.

I do seem to remember a problem with a cheque at one time, however I know we paid this straight away. I'm guessing but Ill speak to my wife.

Vel Voi = void VED you failed to deliver up a cancelled Tax disc, because the cheque was dishonoured not paid for what ever reason, lack of funds and the such. Were you aware of the court case at all? this is important to let us know.
