Hiya,

Made an inquiry a few days ago about how to move home with sky. "oh we need 2 weeks notice to move you and all will be sorted"

So i rang last night and stated that we have seen the house, and the move in date is the 14th August. What's the earliest they can do?

The reply i got was,

"we cant clear down your services at the old house until the 19th August so your phone bill and broadband will still be active and fully working until then, even if you have moved out."

"So, come the 20th my services will be on at the new house?"

"oh no, once the old line is deactivated, we then have to order you a new line and let you know if we can get you broadband at the new place. that can take between 2 and five weeks to be fully up and running"

Can you believe that? so by giving them 2 weeks notice, as they asked, i am still looking at being without services for another 2-4 weeks! Surely thats wrong? Can anyone advise, am i getting teh run around or is this normal practice?

Cheers

Mike

jesus - it would be easier to cancel the service at the old house, and start a new account now, as it takes two weeks to order a new line! it would actually be quciker that way - well done sky, how to retain loyal customers!!!
