Hi WW, I am in roughly the same situation as you as regards token payments. I've had £1 offers accepted by both Barclaycard & Santander Credit Cards, my Santander CA overdraft is proving to be a bit more problematic but I'm on the case. Vic did tell me in my Santander thread, that although they can't demand to see this information, by sending some heavily redacted info, they might well jump on board. It worked for me.

Hi FredF

It's good to see your advice is based on practical experience.

It's worked for me as well, every OC has accepted token payments in reality although not in writing; I now find the lack of letters and 'phone calls quite unsettling

PS WW, you might San what they want but redact it heavily. Tingy will agree, others will disagree - but then their computer will say 'yes'

I agree - Vic knows me too well! The thing is it's a matter of give and take. You are making quite a big ask of them, so while legally only a court can demand you produce your IE sheet, it may well be in your interests to find a nice basic one and send that in to them voluntarily in order to get what you want.

To be honest, if depends how much you want them to accept. You know on what conditions they would accept, sometimes it's worth compromising a bit to get what you want. Many on this site will advise against you submitting it, but a few of us see things differently and in my opinion more realistically.

I also have had the same problem, but m and my husband's debt was £70k. I also have been told to open a seperate bank account and in the throws of paying £1-50 per month to 13 credit card compaies. They dont like it and threaten court orders etc but what I have learnt on this site is do not take any notice of threating letters from the credit card companies, just pay what ever you can afford, keep a file with all communications from the credit card companies, ie letters received, note all phone calls etc. I am new to this and find C A B very helpful.

Remember keep a note of all comunications.

Regards

CathW

Hi Everybody

Sorry i have been away for quite a while but i had a long period of accepted £1.00 payments from all my creditors anf things were quiet for a while. My circumstances have not got better probably worse and i have had my first credit passed over to a company called Robinson Way. Could i ask the following questions

  • Who are they and how are they to deal with
  • They offered settlement straight away, this is one of my smaller amounts. What advice can you give me.

I feel very isolated with Payplan telling me they are unable to help and c.a.b telling me they can do no more. Your advice as always is very appreciated. I look forward to your replies
