We bought a van from a "trader" albeit large set up on home premises.

£3650 for a 55 plate vivaro. 2 weeks on and the clutch/master slave cylinder have gone completely. Its in the garage and we have been quoted £750 :mad2:

After research this is a fairly common problem on this van it seems and tbh i dont think the guy would have known about it??

Do i stand alone on this? :jaw:

Are you sure both the master and slave have failed?

Unless the slave is inside the bell houseing, you could probably have done this yourself for less than £100.

  • 2 weeks later...

Your should be covered under the Sales of goods act - anything that break within 6 months is assumed to have worked at the point of sale and it is for the seller to prove otherwise.

I suggest you try moneyclaimonline AND review the dealer here: ** post edited, please stop spamming **

Traders posing as private dealers to avoid the Sales of goods act is quite common - dont be fooled by this.
