Hi

this is my first time here and not really sure what I am doing. Here is my problem:- I am a full time mature student and get full loans and grants etc, one of which is the special support grant. I am having to go through the family courts at present and am having to pay a contribution towards legal costs of £52 pounds a month as the legal aid commission are including every single bit of money I have coming in. I find this hard to believe as for benefit purposes eg housing and council tax they only count me as having an income of £79 pounds a week. The people at the Legal aid are the rudest, obnoxious people I have every had the misfortune to speak to and just keep saying that nothing is discounted. I have been unable to find anything or anyone who seems to know for sure. Can anyone help?
