Hi all,

 

Im just starting this new thread in the legal forum, as im expecting a claim any day now.

 

I have just had a letter out of the blue from Restons saying they are acting for HSBC ref a Marbles credit card acc, giving me 7 days to pay and threatening court action.

 

Now i haven't dealt with Restons before, can any of you give me a heads up on what to expect/how to handle them?

Here is the result of a CCA request i did last year, the scribbled bit at the top is the acc number written in pen,

 

Here is the app. form as supplied,

Theres no prescribed terms on it, no account number, only an application number.

 

They didn't even bother sending their current T&Cs.

 

It says "this is a credit agreement regulated by the CCA 1974"

 

It should say " credit card agreement"

Nothing to indicate or refer to anything on the back that may be t&c's?

 

What was the alleged commencement date of the agreement?

Hi, no T&Cs anywhere, it dates from 2000

Hi an update on this, i wrote to Restons pointing out that i haven't had anything from their client to say restons were acting and also pointing out some of their client's shortcomings thus far.

 

Restons have returned my letter saying they don't respond to unsigned correspondence!

 

Anyone had this nonsense before?

I've seen it a few times on a number of threads. Apparently it's Reston's 'company policy'.
