Cheekiness towards a DCA

Ok....better get this thread on topic again....

 

I sent Moorcroft a bill today.

 

£6 for each letter I have had to write £66

 

£3 for each pointless call I had to answer from them £36

 

£6 per hour I spent on CAG ""researching consumer law" £1800 (CAG Addict me)

 

£122 because they added the same in charges while the account was in dispute.

 

£1000 for the distress and worry their threats and calls have caused me. (I wet myself laughing at their attempts to scare me and I have a dry cleaning bill to pay.)

 

I doubt I'll get it, but I'll scan their reply on here just for the entertainment value.

Send them a bill. With the new regulations and laws since may 2008, they may cough up. Worth a try. Keep letting them break guidelines. Report them, etc. Now us consumers now have teeth to bite back with, we're in with a chance. No mercy people. Give the DCA's the same treatment they've given us.

 

When the day comes where the CAG gets a DCA shut down, it will send shockwaves through the industry and be a start to protect the vunerable out there who don't know about CAG and believe the DCA threat-o-grams.

 

Decent people have to obey the law, and so should the banks, credit card companies, and DCA's. The tide has turned. Let's flood them out.

Ok, now I've had tons of pm's and messages from people who've read threads on here and said thanks. Among all the depression, stress, and worry that debts have on people. This thread really makes a difference and gives a real positive feeling and that you can turn things around and start living again. I do my bit and the regulars on here have done theirs too.

 

A big, huge thanks to everyone on here who has given time and effort to make this thread, website, and the world a better place to live in.

 

When peeps take 3 hours to read this thread (which quite a few have) and come out feeling more positive and learnt something from it. It has to be a good thing.

Just had Cabot on the phone, its been real quiet and I was missing them

 

Cabot: Can I speak to Mr xxx xxx xxx x

Me: One minute I'll let my cards

Cabot: oh great

 

puts phone down, bashes about abit, waits about 10 mins, shouts upstairs to non existance Mrs (she was still at work, I do have one) DO you know where my cards are, can't find them, bash about some more while reading CAG, wait another 10 or so mins, Shout, It's ok I found them

 

Me: OK

Cabot: What type of card is it?

Me: I have two

Cabot:Which ones do you have

Me: Birthday and Happy fathers day

Cabot: Hung up

That has to be the funniest thing I've read in ages.

Throw in a few bumble bees and you have the best DCA phone call ever.

 

Can't wait for Moorcroft to ring me now. I'll be doing that one for sure.

 

That's what I love about this thread. Instead of fearing DCA's we look forward to their calls.

The DCA staff are all too busy reading this thread and no longer have the time to send us any threat-o-grams.

 

Moorcroft are getting 4 letters from me on monday morning. I always time my annoying letters to them to arrive on a monday morning. It's the worst time of the week to have to deal with peeps like me, who hassle them with legal stuff they prefer to ignore.

Pretending to be very drunk and slurring your words works quite well. Then they say, "Well if you can afford alcohol,you can afford to pay us."

Then I say, "Yesssshh, tooooo right matey skip. But alas cannot pay you, because you have yet to prove I owe you anything." Burp loudly and hang up."

Aaargh!! Why won't they ring me lol I used to dread the phonecalls now I want more

 

I don't wait for calls from them. I ring them. I'm sure a warning flashes up on their computer screen when I call. I've even got a cheap mobile phone and disposable sim card, so I can hassle them from work too.

 

No amount of training can ever prepare a DCA call centre monkey for when fuzzybobble calls.

Lucky old us beetzart ...... I have been sitting in the sun this afternoon.

 

Had a call earlier from Moorcroft .... I did not want to talk at the time so did not answer hence they left a message .... when the chap finished talking he did not cut the call off .... result ... I have on recording a minute plus of his female colleague at Moorcroft giving some poor soul a right tongue lashing. Apparently according to Moorcroft muppet "She is not there to phone us BUT she is there for us to phone her"!!! From the way she was talking it was unfortunately not a CAGGER on the line. They really must be stopped from treating people in this way.

Been learning how to use Ulead VideoStudio 11, so I'm

sure I can link some amusing pics in time to the recording.

 

Been using my £20 mp4 player to record my cousin ringing me today and it's clear as a bell. Just need to work out how to convert the recording into an mp3.

 

I'll go for John Jones. Can't get a more common name than that. Will also say I've just moved here and don't have the postcode to hand. I know a place local to me that has 3 streets all with the same name and causes major confusion with Royal Mail if the mail has no postcode. St Stephans Road would also be a good one, as there can be quite a few way to spell it. So will take them a while to sort through loads of names and streets lol. Couple that with deafness and a bad line, and loads of fun to be had. £9,000 left from a dead relative and I want to use it to pay my debts with. I can imagine the scramble when the DCA monkey orgasms at the though of all that comission.

Just a quickie for anyone having Moorcroft pestering you. One of their "solicitors" Is Midas Legal Services. Says "Subsidiary of Moorcroft Group plc.

 

The usual Letter heading "LITIGATION WARNING" then lots of bowlarks about threats of legal action, and that I should contact Moorcroft before 11th July.

Failure to do so MAY result in the issue of legal proceedings.

 

Anyone want to place bets on them backing down?

 

The will have my formal complaint letter this morning, so that'll be a spanner in their pathetic little plans.

Foolishly hoping every debt they touch will turn into gold.

 

All my Moorcroft debts turned into Iron Pyrite.

I had a DCA chasing my Abbey overdraft which is about £700, but all of that + another £1300 is bank charges and interest charged on those charges.

 

I called the DCA and gave them my switch card details stating I wanted to pay in full.

 

Little did the DCA now, but the switch card for the Abbey account that Abbey had closed on me a month before.

 

Abbey still charged me £30 for the failed transaction, even though the account was closed. Bam, off went the complaint to the OFT for them passing on an account in dispute to a DCA, and adding charges to an account they themselves closed down.

 

Still awaiting the results of that one.

Amazing you got to the end of the thread. Must have taken you ages.

 

From what peeps tell me, this thread really makes all the difference, and makes them realise that debt and DCA's are nothing to be afraid of. Sometimes they can be a bit of fun too.

 

Watch this space as this weekend, I'm going to try and get some funny dca calls I've made on utube and link them on this thread.

Apart from Billie Piper. They had loads of chances and still didn't. In the second to last episode of series 4, they shot the Doctor, who was running, when Rose Tyler was standing still. They went for moving target instead of the easy one.

I have a radio controlled dalek. But it's faulty lol. Goes ok backwards, but when you try to go forwards it goes round in circles instead. (bit like my life really lol)
