We have a TV license that runs May to June. We will be out of the country for January/February and wonder if we are entitled to a refund?

I have rang TV licensing and one person said yes, when I rang back with dates the other person said no.

Can anyone clarify this for me?

Thanks in advance.

A couple of ways you can get around this - as detailed by other users.

You can either suspend your licence (for a period over 4 weeks) and then activate it again once you return to the country.

Cancel your current licence (receive a refund) - then start a new one when you come home again.

PS _ yes I do work for TV Licensing

Ah. Perhaps you have some idea why they have been refunding the payments I make and then chasing me for not being licensed?
