Hi everyone.

Forums looking very active - as usual. Good work to all of you!

I would like some advise regarding the late arrival of bank statements after paying my ten pounds and the correct covering letter....!

I sent the correct letter and ten pounds on the 02/05/2006 via recorded delivery.

Received letter from the "Data Protection Consultant" telling me that my request is being delt with and the statements will be with me ".....at the latest by 11th June 2006."

To this day no show!

I called the direct line number and was told of a "...possible I.T. problem..." - whatever.

I asked for a confirmation call back to advise me as to what had occured and when I should expect these statements. I was told "....no, we can't do that.". I did inform the lady that there were legal implications behind a late dispatch of data and was told"....not being funny Mr. X, but nobody would take any notice of you anyway...".

Not wishing to put myself into an early grave with stress, I've remained cool as there may well be a good reason for no arrival - aliens stole them, dog was sick on them, there baby unicorn is teething at the moment and they can't get any sleep.....

Does anyone have any advice....?

Is it worth pursuing?

Another stalling technique?

All very unsatisfactory!

Many thanks in advance!

Being a man, I am always right (however I will make no admission of liability if you have misinterpreted my instructions!! :) ) If you are in any doubt, then consult a professional. All opinions offered on this site are just that, and should not be taken as legal advice.
