Guest Zooman

bloody hell they have gone and put a welcome forum up now.

Knowing what a hard job the CAG team already have I think those of us who can spare a few Min's should go a long and welcome the newbies (a sort of welcoming committee) and take the pressure of the CAG team.

Well I'm going to do it I may not be able to help answering questions of law but I can certainly welcome newbies and point them to information on the site.

Where have all these newbies come from??

My fingers are getting tired typing "Read the FAQ's" :)

Just the FAQ’s ma'am. Please read 'em thoroughly before jumping in. Cheers :)

Find all the letters under the rainbow here

Being a man, I am always right (however I will make no admission of liability if you have misinterpreted my instructions!! :) ) If you are in any doubt, then consult a professional. All opinions offered on this site are just that, and should not be taken as legal advice.

Halifax - £1400 reclaimed. Now on a crusade to help others!

Mine to but I think yours more :D. It worth it. Don't get drawn into answering detailed questions.

The newbie forum is a great idea - perhaps it could be improved by having another sticky (in a big bold font) that points to the FAQs, Template letters & Spreadsheet with an brief explanation of what they should do as soon as they start (as in read all of the links here first BEFORE asking questions, jumping in feet first, etc.). :)

Jeep (The Wife & I)

Halifax joint a/c (£3800 charges + £40 interest on charges over 11 years) - paid in full 23/06/06

Halifax joint a/c new charges £1100 - LBA sent 02/08/06

Halifax 2nd a/c (£1500 charges + £150 interest on charges) - partial payment received 13/07/06 (no s69 interest) - AQ filed 07/08/06 - Court awarded 50% of s69 interest (Bank didn't turn up!)

Halifax Visa (#1) Data Protection Act sent - statements arrived - £350 so far

Halifax Visa (#2) Data Protection Act sent - refunded £170

DONATE - Support this site, it supported you!

Follow the route: FAQs > Template Library > Parachute Account > Bank Forums > Spreadsheet

All advice given in good faith and without prejudice or liability, to be taken at your own risk!

:) good suggestion, Zooman! The CAG team deserve all the help they can get as they must be under one hell of a lot of presure trying to help everyone!

I agree, how is it possible for the moderators to cope with the growth we are experiencing at the mo' at the beginning of june it was 22000, now its 38000.

the concern is that disproportionate time has to be spent newbie hand holding, this may be irritating to experienced users but it is essential to make everyone feel welcome and included in the positive drive of the site. i asked the stoopidest q's when i first joined, we all did in some way!

The concern tho is that as more people get toward moneyclaim simultaneously then the need for technical advice grows, that is the time when the advice can be critical. I guess more experienced users will help out and advise especially if they have completed their claims successfully.

are there more mods in training?

in the meantime i'm off for some newbie action, i like the new forum but i wondered, doesn't that now mean virtually all newbies threads will have to be manually intervened(!) to put them on their own banks thread? creating more work for the mods??

however they are coping, they're doing a fantastic job.
