When requesting your S.A.RS from EGG make sure you send two forms of ID with the request.And they have to be originals,not photo copys.Gas,Leccy,Phone bills,must have an address and no older than three months.I dont know if this is required by law but its what i was asked for. They can try to draw this thing out but im pretty determind to see it out to the end.

Hi eveyone, i sent my data request letter to RBS last friday,got a reply today.It seems as though the account no and branch address is not enough info to find a closed account,they need the sort code as well !. I suspect this could be the start of a long battle,you would think account nos would be unique enough but hey what do i know.Will keep you posted as and when.

Does this action apply to c cards held with A & L ?. Im thinking in terms of the following. Data request sent---letter comes back saying "Heres the data you asked for,oh by the way we are closing your account,pay up in full please buddy before xx-xx-06 or its legal action time".Any thoughts?

Theirs a thread on this in the A&L section,well worth a read,however at this stage its a liitle cloudy as to acc being closed upon action started.Ithink it a case of wait and see.

Sorry if this has been asked a million times before,ive looked through the forum threads and cant find any related material. Before i found this site i set up a DD with CITI cards,i did this over the telephone some 4 weeks ago. Ive been wondering if this was wise for the following reasons. 1.Having given them accsess to my bank account how can i be sure they will only take the agreed ammount? Ive not signed any paper work with them or my bank . 2.Having sent of my data request letter to them if i cancel my DD now will this effect my claim against them? 3.Thinking about it,it was a stupid thing to do as i have no idea who i was dealing with as i phoned them from a number they gave to my mother while i was at work. Could it be a con? They said the first payment would go out at the back end of this month. Any help or toughts would be most welcome. Thanks in advance Blackcatchillers.
