  1. Hello everyone! Data Protection letter sent yesterday 14/10/06. I have been told by the big bods at A&L that it should take about 3 weeks to get the paperwork through so that gives me 3 weeks of swotting up on this site. I am just a young mum of 5 small children(1,1,3,3,6) who has been stung by these charges since I was 19(25 now). I remember months when I went 63p OD and I recieved £115 in charges!! Where is the justice is that hey? People think I am nutty for taking this all the way(which I will!) as its little old me against the big boys! Luckily I have a single account but we are in town tomorrow to get me added on to my husbands account as its the kick up the bum I need to finally get a joint account with the old man:) After all, whats his is mine and whats mine is mine;) Anyway-waffling now! You will notice its something I do best when you see me posting! Just to add. I am certain I will be the only one who ends up in court and I am really scared! My hubby has told to swot up on it all as much as I can so if the day ever comes I can stand up in court and give my side while knowing all the in's and out's of it all. Fingers crossed it doesnt get that far though!!! Good luck to all that are going through the same thing and well done to those who have successfully got THIER money back! Julie xxxx
  2. I feel like this weekly with my disgrace of a bank :o( You have my upmost sympathy as £54 is a lot of money! You are way ahead of me in claiming so I hope its not too much more of a wait for you. I just keep focusing on giving my 5 littlies(aged 1,1,3,3,6) the most amazing holiday next yeah :o) Stay strong and I am really touched by the lovely replies you have had! What a lovely thing for us newbies to see, the support here seems amazing! Mmmmmmmmmm wahhhhhhhhhhh(thats a sloppy kiss from me) and (((((((((hugs)))))))))) xxxxx
  3. Thats fantastic news!!!! I really love reading all these stories as it gives people like me the hope to go and get my money back! I am in the very early days of it all and cant wait till I am at your stage!
  4. Thanks everyone, you are all very helpful! My eyes have gone all googly now from reading so much! Will class all this as me learning and try and hop on and swot up for a few hours a day when the 5 kiddies are in bed! Will be nice to give them a lovely Christmas with all MY money!
  5. Hi everyone! I am very very new to this site, only joined this morning:) I have been reading up like mad on all the FAQ's and all the hints and tips from all you lovely people and have decided to launch war against Alliance and Leicester. My husband is saying go for it but my mum thinks I am being a mug and that money is never this easy to get hold of. I am 100% going to start the ball rolling but what are my chances of recieving sod all? Being fairly new to all this then it all seems a little scary. I have my letter drafted for my list of charges and my tenner ready to post off recorded delivery but I am quite a shy person and the thought of taking such a multi million organisation to court scares the willies out of me!!!! Its hard though as I just cant help seeing pound signs for my 5 kiddies and a nice holiday being booked lol Please tell me if I am being unrealistic! What are my chances of getting anything back from Alliance and Leicester? Are they slim? Are there any threads here with failure stories for me to read to get me down off my podium? Thanks in advance everyone. Love Julie xxxxx:)
