  1. dont qualify as im earning enough, but its all being spent on catching up prioritybills for the 4 months i was unemployed. Have to say though, lots of organisations have been very very helpful, particularly my phone and net provider, and are being very patient. While waiting on that, i am trying one more track, which ill update on as soon as i get any news, an idea i got from someone elses thread as it happens, i hadnt thought of.
  2. anyone asks for me on the phone, i ask em who it is before i confirm anything, if they wont tell i hang up, if its a dca, tell em writing only and hang up.
  3. I have found paid for dmp's can be helpful if you do the paper chasing. If you can get any kind of original agreement thats not enforcable, and provide it to them, they will usually deal with it favourably.
  4. dont jump to fast form a yes credit agreement, my brothers from 6 years ago was fully compliant when we got it earlier this year, and theletter that came with it was gloating about it to!
  5. Law.com - Wachovia, BofA, Citibank Sued Over 'Bad-Faith' Overdraft Fees wonder if itll get as big as over here.
  6. hope all those of you that sent the letters to opposition parites made sure to cc it, andmake it clear that it has been sent to all candidates, would get them in a right old pickle. Always the way is to make them fight about it, once they get enough you will start to hear a little about it here and there hopefully
  7. dont just send them to oyur local mp, send a copy to each opposition party in your area, and make sure to cc it, so your mp can see its been sent to the other parties. If you can make the parties fight about it among each other, its more likely that something will be done, specially with a general election on the horizon.
  8. was one of the easiest sales ever on there i can remember seeing lol, definitely got the right dragon for the product tho, sitting here waiting for the handsets to be in the shops now!
  9. Actually we do follow the rules when this happens, if they can't follow the law like they expect us to, they should expect no less.
  10. what we need to do is figure how to force the OFT to take the action it refuses to take to protect the consumers it was set up to protect, they fail miserably at it.
  11. If we all send the letters to our mp's to, we should also find out who are in the opposition seats, and send the same to them as well, get enough and all parties will be promising to do something It isnt to difficult to find out who are opposing, quick google search usually does it.
  12. Find out which bank is a clearing center in your town, and pay em all in there for free, i use barclays myself, it has the only clearing center in 2 towns!
  13. im about to be issued a second DN for this account, can they issue a second DN for an account? Not been able to file the 244 yet, since im working but on a very low income, main bills have to go first
  14. prescribed terms have to be within the fours corners I.E the signed document. loan/limit amount frequency of repayments/how much interest rate (NOT APR) I think thats all the prescribed terms, hopefully someone will confirm or correct me. I would argue that with no lenders sig, and no prescribed terms, they obviously did not approve the loan/cc and instead gave you a gift token. Again im not to experienced, so will need someone to confirm
  15. well on the fist one, which is clearly an app form, after studying it some i dont see any prescribed terms at all. Clearly states its an app form though, but im not as experienced as some here either.
  16. demand a complete audit trail of the money from the oc would be the way to go i think.
  17. i have a theory on barclays. theyr pretty much the only ones that consistently refuse reduced payments, i suspect theyr on the brink.

  19. ok am working on the 244 today, have to admit im a bit nervous tho Just made sure i have my papers in order, one or two letters i forgot to date, but thats ok i think, cos i got responses to them.
  20. so would it be best to start cpr strategy again, but to mercers this time then since they seem to have handed it over?
  21. thats the thing, i didnt get t&c, i got a barely legible copy of conditions only, a single page, most of the top half is unreadable.
  22. ooh a lovelt, completely invalid DN from mercers on this today. I assume a Dn is automatically invalid if the account is in dispute with the oc? Usual letters fired off today
  23. it isnt actually just england as such, it barclays themselves that are causing the problems, from what ive seen the other banks are not so bad with a bit of a push and a shove.
  24. yeh will be doing that form now on, thanks
