well they did offer me xxxto setlle, strangely enough thats all i have left owing :O needless to say i dont have that much available, and offered what i had, but they turned it down lol, but im not to worried. I tried setting up with the details on the paying in slips, and my bank tells me its an invalid sort code. Not sure what to do with it now, i got their standing order thing that im supposed to send back to them, marked at the amount per week we agreed, but as i said, i want to pay a lump off all at once, and paying in slips are not acceptable to me for large sums, and they wont budge.

I have an overdraft that im paying off via paying slips at the minute, at a reasonable rate, however i have come into a situation where i can clear more than half the balance all at once. I asked them for standing order instructions to be sent to me, and they claim that it takes four weeks to set up because i have to fill it in and send it back to them to send on to my bank. Needless to say i dont believe a word of it because as far as im aware a standing order is for me to instruct my bank, not for them to do it. The lump sum payment i want to make is pretty big, so i dont want to do that with a payslip to make sure i dont lose it. Any ideas anyone?

Wish mine would do that, i have two payments left to make for this year, in jan and feb, they issued a summons on 22nd dec claiming they sent me letters, none of which i received, so im gonna be paying an extra 60 quid this year, needless to say im not at all happy.

ok well i phoned the council today, and they claimed they have sent me reminders and cancellation letters, none of which i have received. i wa tols on the phone they went out because its an automated system and it isnt their fault i didnt receive them. I need a case if possible that computer generated letters doesnt prove that ive received them, as theyr insisting ive got to pay the costs even tho we sorted out the payments on whats left of the bill. can anyone point me in a direction anywhere? or is it not worth fighting?

i know who my mp is, and he knpows me very well to shame hes not to good.

oh i will be doing that when they get back next monday, unfortunately the person on their end is rather stubborn, and ive seen 3 cases go to the court even when provided with all the proof. Needles to say the judges laughed it out. Just wanted to check things

Hi guys. Just today got a court sumkons for council tax which i can prove i have paid. Couple of questions i have, the council area im under are well known around for issuing summons to people that have paid and are up to date, i know of 4 not including myself now. Question is, when i turn up and defend it, will they still be liable to pay my costs? Reason i ask is that i only recently started a new job, and have no holiday time to take off, and i cant afford unpaid time off.

ok here it is, apparently just 3 pages. Im very annoyed it took so long actually, the fax time and dates are at the top of each page to, they did it the day after theyr eceived my letter demanding a final response grrr. Why couldnt they be bothered to do that last year? Its definitely my sig on it, and not been lifted from my bc, first thing i checked haha, date is right to. ok i had a response today after demanding a final response. Will post it up when i had dinner, but it looks like it is the document i signed Am considering looking at unfair relationship angle now as i was on benefits at the time and they knew it.

did a cca request, sar, 2 cpr letters, then demanded a final response, then took it to the fos, i called and spoke to them on the phone first, they sent me their forms out and i received them two days later.

here it is, what id like to know is, what do i tell the fos, who want me to agree that this is an executed agreement?

Have had some movement on this one now, FOS says they recieved a copy of the original agreement, and asked if i was happy with that, told them they need to send me the copy. Also they gave me the date of signing, so i asked if it was the agreement, or an app form. Guy says its an agreement from what he can make out, and hes sending me a copy to verify the signature. its one or the other, cos the date of signing he gave me on the phone was correct. missing lately cos of puter probs, just had this phone call today, so it seems with barclays the way to get the agreement is through the FOS.

im getting really annoyed that the media continue to claim that its a loophole when it clearly isnt

Fos just kicked this one back, as they are being stubborn about issuing a final response. Been passed to one of the internal agencies now, guess i should write and demand a final response, although im of a mind to hang on to see what they come back with on my other one first.

think i have had some movement here, had a call from debt managers claiming i owe on a 3k barclaycard master loan, only answered cos i tohught it was gonna be about my overdraft which is with them and being paid off. will be calling fos in the morning to see whats happening there.
