Hi there, new here.

I've just spent six hours straight on the site after stumbling across it! Some great resources and a great community. I think I'm nearly ready to send off my S.A.R but will wait till Monday anyway as I'm now worried that I've forgotten everything I read this evening! I've had trouble with charges for a while but have become desensitised over the years so can't even guess how much has been charged overall, in fact £28 of charges were taken out of my account at the end of the year which I'd forgotten about! Anyway, I'll post a thread in the Halifax section when I send off the S.A.R. In the mean time, good luck everyone.

Oh yeah, here's a question, the only thing I haven't really understood so far are the differences between Vampiress's spreadsheets. If anyone could shed some light on which to use and at what stage it would be very much appreciated, I'm afraid I just couldn't understand Vamp's descriptions.

Regards,

BTB

Welcome to the site.

Good to see you have been reading up 6 hours is a long time !!

vamps spreadsheets have been serving Bagland for quite some time and have recently been upgraded.

I am sure that if you asked vamp nicely she would be happy to explain them:D

Hi Martin

Thanks for the reply, I'll keep having a look through the site to see if I can work it out first, I have time on my hands at the moment so won't bother Vamp until I'm desperate for advice! Speaking of time on my hands this is my 8th hour... best get some sleep. Speak soon.

Hi guys,

Before I get the ball rolling by sending off the S.A.R could anyone tell me how you find out if a default notice has been placed on your credit record? Will I have been informed by Halifax if this has happened?

Regards,

BTB

EDIT: Looked it up myself. You ARE informed when you get a default notice. Nothing to worry about if you've never heard of one.

it may be worth checking your credit files anyway not just for defaults but for any other mistakes .You will be suprised how many think their files are ok only to discover a lot of wrong information being on them that could go against you .

Great to see you are having a good read around and not just jumping in , this way you are less likely to make a mistake .
