Hi,

I want to claim from Yorkshire Bank for a business account from many years ago (closed as i moved to HSBC because of the extreme charges).

Do i sent a DPA request to the branch or the address in Scotland? Or does someone have the correct address?

Thanks,

Hi Tifo.

If you live in England, use the branch address. Let them forward it to wherever they want it to go.

IF YOU ARE IN ENGLAND USE YOUR BRANCH ADDRESS AS YOUR CLAIM MAY BECOME SUBJECT TO SCOTTISH LAW IF YOU USE ONE IN SCOTLAND. THE SYSTEM IS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THERE SO PLEASE BE CAREFUL NOT TO MAKE THIS MISTAKE.

I hope that this is some help.

Yorkshire bank have now come back and said no SAR as it was a business account and does not apply to this.

They want £5 per statement.

Anyone help, as i thought a SAR was for information and it applies equally?

Or is the DPA only for individuals?

Hi all, just starting on this process, received a huge wad of statements from Yorkshire for both business and private account. Keeping both seperate but only paid £10.00 for each. They are just trying it on.

Confused now though!! SO, SO much paper!

I don't know whether I can claim the £8.00 per day overdrawn charge as well as the £30? bounced cheque/Direct Debit Charge.

Look forward to a spot of help.

Thanks

Hi griffgrogs and welcome to the YB forum. First of all if you start a new thread and call it griffgrogs v Yorkshire Bank or similar then other people can follow your progress and offer suitable advice if needed. You can claim the £8 and £30. Also make sure you read through all the FAQ's so that you know what to do. Trust me it helps to read as much as possible. Good luck with your claim.

Make sure you read about the business account proceedures for claiming back charges as it's different to personal accounts.
