Hi received a letter from the court giving me 14 days to reply to them with regards to a car lease which was taken out in 2006. When the lease was almost up in 2009 with 1 month left I took the car back a month early and was told there was nothing left outstanding to pay. About 18 months ago I was contacted and told I owed 1 months pay almost £500. I contacted them explained they received the car back early. Was told they would look into it and of there was an issue they would be back in touch. That's the last I heard presumed everything was sorted now I've had a court letter chasing me for final payment plus court fees etc. can they do this and what do I do? As far as I knew everything was sorted and I no longer have any paperwork help!
