Hi CAN anybody help over two years ago my husband and i reclaimed ppi, we used à Glasgow firm who basically did nothing in thé end we did most of thé work ourselfs so m'y husband refuced to pay them, so should also say in thé end only my husband was entiltled to thé money. It to ok thé Glasgow firm over à year to notice they hâtent been paid, anyways thé took both of us to court. I agreed to pay them £65 per month, we Own £1100. After this due to personal problèmes we made thé decision to havé our house repossed, i was them adviced not to make any payments to débts as we would néed to be made bankrupt. Today i got à fone call from à friend i used to work with Telling me That à letter addressed to me had came to my old work along with à letter to my old boss Telling her to arrest of wages, i havent work there in over 7 years. Anybody know how i should deal with this?

As you are no longer employed your former employer will simply return the Arrestment Schedule to the Sheriff Officers, I don't know your personal circumstances at present, however if you are currently working and they find out who youremployer is, they could re-serve. If they don't know they may try and arrest your bank account, this can be found through a process of netting by contacting all major banks. Anything over the ring fenced figure of £415.00 could be arrested. They cannot touch overdraft.

My apologies, the way I read the post I assumed that the Bnkruptcy had not been completed. If that is not the case and BK has been concluded then no diligence can be enforced and the Sheriff Officers should be provided with the reference.
