hi , i am new to this and this might be completly wrong (or have been checked out before). i have been told that you can go to the banking ombusman with each charge that you feel is unfair. i have heard that it costs the bank aprox. £100 for each investigation to take place. so if you get your charge list you could techicaly challange every charge costing the bank £1000's.

I would say the answer is no.

There is a cost to the bank at a certain stage of the process, but I would expect the ombusman to refuse the claim if it is put in on that sort of basis long before the cost factor tripped in.

But anyway, welcome to the group - take time to read the FAQ's - you will find they are very helpful.

Please read the FAQs and around the Forum. To approach the Fo you have to have exhausted the bank's own complaints procedure and it is unlikey that he would investigate a complaint about a single charge.

Don't waste your time and effort attemption to go down that route.

The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.
