Since hearing about this subject on LBC radio I decided to fight the good fight and sent FD letter one asking for my money back and citing the cases that were sucessful. To date I have had two letters both holding letters and apparently a third is on its way, although I haven't seen it yet it says that FD are looking at the charges over the specified period and will get back to me in seven days once they have made a business decision???? On receipt of this letter I intend to write and advise them I will be taking legal proceedings once this date passes just to keep them focused. Here's hoping!

I have received two letters from FD today one telling me I will get a response at a later date and the other a detailed refusal to refund any money. I am at work so haven't seen the letter but have had it read, general thrust is - no refund of any money and that that don't believe their charges are punitive and refer to their terms and conditions. well who said this was going to be easy!

 

Any one else had this response and what did you do!

had the self same letter today. They must be getting so many that they do this to hopefully fob off anyone who can't be bothered to take it further in my opinion. Waiting for a reply on my thread to advise what to do but will make small claims application if thats recommended. Scary but if all the people on the site can make a stand we all should.

Its all getting a bit scary, but I think I will continue and begin legal action. The worst that can happen is that they will want to come to court and fight it, at that point I will decide what to do.
