  1. Hello and thanks for any help, advice and information you can give me. I received a parking charge notice on 7/7/2015 with the reason 'obstructive parking'. I sent email appeal notices within a couple of hours with attached pictures of the parking situation to the email address provided on the parking charge notice (sent from two email accounts to ensure they got through and were not filtered as spam) but got no reply. I continued to email weekly for 3-4 weeks still with no reply and no 'unable to deliver' messages from my email accounts. I also had a friend send an appeal message from his account - he too got no response. I have today received a letter from a collections service charging a higher amount for the unpaid parking charge. I presume this incorporates their fee. I contacted PCS (parking charge collections) and explained that I had appealed the charge and am still awaiting a response from LDK. PCS customer services asked me to forward my appeal email sent to LDK and they would negotiate on my behalf. I have forwarded PCS my appeal emails. I have since discovered that LDK have an appeals form on a separate website which is not listed on the parking charge notice. Should I now complete this form retrospectively and submit to LDK despite it not being indicated on the parking charge notice? Athere were no designated parking spaces in the car park - it is rough 'scrubland' and I have photo evidence to show cars around me changed while I was parked as compared to the pictures they have of my car at the time the charge notice was issued. Plus surely, without marked parking spaces, 'obstructive parking' is subjective rather than a fact that can be clearly defined. I don't want to 'go on' too much as this is my first post I would welcome any advice on how to manage this and if my appeal to LDK is fruitless then how to be able to pay the reduced fee that I should be entitled to given that I did attempt to launch an appeal a per the instructions on the notice. Thanks for you help, support, advice.
  2. Hi, I hope someone can help, I have searched on here and see differing replies. I received a parking fine from LDK Security, I was 10 minutes late back to the car. It was in a place in the middle of Newcastle City Centre, that I did not realise was privately owned. As I got back to my car there was actually a traffic warden placing tickets on cars on the street next to where I was parked. I approached him to try and get my ticket removed. That's when he informed me it was a private area. His advice was not to pay it as they are not enforceable!! He was actually at the time about to put a ticket on the car of the lady who was issuing tickets in the private car park! I've been really busy and to be honest forgot about this fine, so it hasn't been paid. I have now received an issue for £125 fine for non payment of the ticket. Researching on here and online majority say ignore, some say to pay. What is the situation now, as most posts I've found about this company are a year or two old. Thanks in advance; I'm sorry if this is in another thread I couldn't find anything upto date.
  3. Hi all just got a so called parking charge notice from LDK Security Group Ltd. I know that most including myself have said ignore but I find this to be slightly different so am going to appeal. Reasons, 1, the ticket/invoice is for not displaying a visitors parking permit in a permit only parking area my car was displaying my blue badge. . 2, I was visiting a tenant at the time, this tenant is disabled and can only have 2 visitors parking permits, he has 2 carers coming in at least 3 to 4 times a week they can be anyone of about 10 carers who can attend to assist him so he cannot permanently give anyone one of his permits. So anyone visiting him has to go to his first floor flat to obtain a permit then return to their car to display permit. 3, I myself am disabled (full rate DLA mobility and middle rate care). My blue badge was displayed while I went to the tenants flat to get one of his visitors permits this would have taken me 5 minutes then I would have had to recover for at least 10 minutes. Then another 5 minutes to return to my car. A total of at least 20 minutes. I was only going to the flat to pick up my dog that the tenant had been looking after for me while I visited the hospital. 4, by the time I returned to my car it already had the ticket/invoice. I believe that this is one of the times that a paper trail is required just on the off chance these chancer's do try court. I will not pay this invoice unless ordered by a court and the tenant is willing to give evidence as to his circumstances with regard to the visitors parking permits.
  4. I parked in a car park next to hospital and paid for a full 24 hour ticket (£3.50) every day while my mum was seriously ill. On 08/11/12 I returned to my car to find a parking notice! The ticket I had bought has fallen down beside my seat. I appealed against the charge and was refused, I explained I was there every day as my mum was ill and subsequently passed away on 13/11/12. I have since received letter from Ethical Debt Recovery Services Ltd. asking me to pay £120 ( the original charge was £60) and threatening LITIGATION AND MORE CHARGES. Do I have any redress in this situation? Who would I appeal further to in this case? I have my paid ticket and did scan and email it to LDK in my original appeal. Thanks for any information anyone may give me Pauline
  5. I recently received a parking charge for an expired parking ticket from LDK in a private car park. The parking charge is for £60 in 14 days or £90 thereafter i sent a letter off to appeal but received an unsuccessful letter back. What should i do, should i pay the £60 or offer a £5 payment as their loss would of been £1 for the over stay time.
